Impala’s speed stayed at a steady 65mph while traveling over the tar-covered highway; Evergreens being passed by the vehicle all along the side of the road. Brown leather coat was wrapped around the male and up to his hand that rested comfortably on the steering wheel. It should be just like any other hunt Dean was on. He was just driving towards the destination; towards Milwaukee but he knew as he drove through what seemed like the endless dark, low mutter of the lyrics “So, so you think you can tell, Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain…” It wasn’t so ordinary. And what made it that way was the blonde asleep in the passenger seat next to him. Eyes had glanced over to her for a moment recalling all the reasons of how she got to that seat next to Dean.
It could have been described as a beautiful day and for Dean, it truly was. Especially with the club sandwich glued to his hand as well as the contents of the sandwich, in his mouth. With the windows of the Impala rolled down to let in sunshine and air, the sounds of birds chirping were drowned out by Dean’s singing and the AC/DC song flowing through the speakers. While speeding through the highway though, sense perked up when nostrils detected a sign of a female. Perfume.
Dean’s hands left the wheel for a moment so he could crumble the packaging of the sub and toss it to the passenger seat. Digits found themselves back at the steering wheel as one hand lowered the volume. Taking in a few whiffs of air again, he definitely knew that he had smelled a woman’s perfume. Where it was coming from though, he was less knowledgeable about. Then hearing a groan coming from the backseat, eyes narrowed and Dean slowed the car down to the side of the road. Fingers gingerly crept behind him to grip the handle of the .45 he had tucked away as he slowly pulled it out and turned to look at the seat behind him. Noticing the blanket he normally had tucked away under the seat was now out and covering something, there was no doubt in Dean’s mind somebody had hitched around. Clenching his jaw, he quickly pulled the blanket up and saw the blonde looking up at him.
Shock had caused Dean to lean back, noticing it was Cade and curse under his breath as he shook his head. “Son of a bitch…” He mumbled before leaning over to look at her again. “Cade, what the hell are you doing in the back of my car?” He asked quickly.
The thoughts of that surprise had moved from his mind and pushed aside while catching an unusual site. The site of a figure in the darkness and mist covered banks. It was already in the AM and the likelihood of somebody just taking a stroll next to the highway for kicks wasn’t very good. Slowing down the vehicle, Dean’s green orbs just stared at the figure walking as he rested his palm on Cade’s shoulder. Shaking it lightly to wake her of her slumber, he looked over for a moment as he requested, “Get me the gun and police badge from the glove compartment.”

Cade groaned, sitting up straighter. "Wha?" She mumbled, rubbing the side of her face at the none existent trail of drool. "Oh..here." She said sleepily, reaching forward and opening the glove compartement. She pulled out the gun and state appropriate police badge then handed them to Dean's outstretched hand. "What's going on?" She asked, tugging at the bottom of her shirt that had ridden up as she slept.
She looked out on the side of the road, spotting the slightly blurred figure. Cade rubbed her eyes then blinked. The image cleared, coming into focus. She looked at her watch. '2:43 am.' She thought.

Dean stayed alert and on guard as he took the gun first, laying it next to him in the dark then grasped the badge from her as well and tucked it into his jacket pocket. "Well thats what we're gonna find out, Cadence." He said and pulled up next to the shadowy figure. Leaning over as he brought the car to a full stop, he rolled down Cade's window when he called out, "You all right, buddy?"
Eyes had set on the man as he turned around. The guy actually looked normal. Nothing strange about him. But still, he seemed shady enough to be either a gravedigger or a man possessed by a demon. Despite that though, he put on a smile and approached the car. "Yeah, I'm fine, just having a tough time finding my dog. He got lose when I was walking him and ran this way. Havent seen him, have you?" Dean looked over to his partner in crime, thinking the guys story didnt pan out but maybe they should just move on.

Cade looked at Dean briefly before looking at the man outside the passenger window. "Uh, no we haven't. You should probably report it to the local humane society. They'll find it most likely." She said, shivering at the slight draft. '...And it's starting to rain. Great creepy lost dog man is gonna ask for a ride or help.' She thought, fiddling with the zipper of her thin hoodie. "Could you help me look for her?" The man asked, holding the leash in his hand and looking upset. "We'd stay and help but we really have to get home.." She said, trying to get the hint across to Dean.

Dean raised a brow over to Cade when she suggested the humane society. What a girl thing to do. But even then, he put on the fake smile as always and agreed in a nod to the stranger. Although it still seemed shady to Dean, it wasn't like he could just get out of the car and frisk this guy down so it was pointless being here. As long as he wasn't burrying a body, there wasn't much that could be done.Tense, he shifted a bit, hoping the gun wouldn't be brought to this man's attention before picking up on Cade's signal.
Looking from the blonde to the man again, he added, "Oh yeah, we'd love to help you out but uh... we've gotta get home and uh... feed the cats." He said and then took a moment to think about his lie, laughing awkwardly at it. The silence took over for a brief moment then fingers pointed over to Cade again when feeling the need to explain. "She's allergic to dogs." Stop digging yourself into this hole... Coughing as he shook his head and shifted in his seat, he knew it was time to go. The usual false grin came again as he waved, "So good luck and we'll be seeing you."
Dean sat back in his seat, not looking to the stranger again before pulling off the side of the road and slowly picking up speed when getting back on tar-covered ground. Driving again, he addressed the fellow hunter while staring straight, "So... shady much?"

"Not quite creepy stalker but more like a leering and creepy store cashier." She said, adjusting her seatbelt before looking over at Dean. "Oh and Dude? I'm allergic to Cats..and I'm a total dog lover." She corrected, slumping back in her seat before looking over the backseat, seeing the man from earlier stop another car passing by. "He just doesn't quit.." She mumbled, seeing a woman get out of the driver's side. She frowned, watching the scene as they drove further away...then out of sight. "This is bugging me.."

Dean's hand stayed steady on the top of the steering wheel and elbow rested on the window of the car. Looking up at the rear view mirror to examine the man's behavior as well, "Yeah, well, I needed a good excuse for us not to go looking for his pup, alright?" He said and thought it might have been very well thought out reason. Hand then reached out to adjust the mirror again, focusing on the man but then looked over to Cade.
"This is bugging me.." She said and that caught his attention. Eyes staying between her and the road so he wouldn't doom them both, he asked, "What is?" He could only assume it was the man they had just left behind but wasn't too sure. As they approached the town though, it seemed more lively. Less like some ghost haunted highway and more like a town, despite how it was in the middle of the night. Driving around, he scanned all the stores for any type of hotel that would look like it had rooms available.

She shook her head, sitting back down. "I don't know..it's just." Cade frowned, crossing her arms and leaning back into her seat. "Yeah he was creepy but I keep getting the feeling I've seen him somewhere.." She said, looking over at Dean as he looked for a place to crash for the night.
"There's another one down the next street." She told him, pointing out the small run down motel with a buzzing neon sign stating vacancy. "But whatever you do, don't trust the sheets." Cade made a gagging noise and shuddered dramatically. "Why'd I pay attention in school? It always comes back to bite me in the ass." She said, sighing.

Dean's chuckling echoed through the now silent car as he took Cade's instructions and slowed the car down to pull into the vacent hotel's parking lot. Stopping the car and turning the key to shut off the engine, he pocketed the metal and looked over at Cade again. "When you've been in hundreds of these things, you learn not to care about the people who were in them before you." He stated before grasping the gun he had next to him and tucking it away. "Whether they paid for it or not."
Opening the driver side door, causing the door to squeak as he got out, he slammed it shut and waited for Cade to return by his side to get a room. Once she did, he walked towards the office to rent the room for the night, glad that hotel business was a 24 hour thing. Entering the office, he approached the counter with the clerk sitting behind it. "Uh, one room with two beds please?" Looking down, he reached into his coat when hearing the clerk speak back, "You two fighting?" Pulling out the brown wallet from his jacket, Dean looked up and gave out a little laugh. "Oh no, we're actually brother and sister." He stated, hoping that would leave the questions alone. The clerk smirked as he went back to the rinky-dink computer, looking through any of the reserved rooms. "Well then, you guys are gonna have some trouble because we only have one room left with one bed."
Dean's moments instantly paused when hearing that. Looking over his shoulder, still holding the credit card in his hand, he wanted to know Cade's opinion. They both knew they were being less than friendly with this ever since they met a few days ago. So maybe they should find another hotel.

Cade followed Dean into the motel, waiting behind him as he got a room. "Well then, you guys are gonna have some trouble because we only have one room left with one bed." The man said, grinning stupidly. Oh great..like I really wanna share a bed with the hedgehog. She thought.
He looked over at her, silently asking her opinion. She sighed, knowing it was highly unlikely they would find another place to sleep in this area that was within their price range. "That's fine, we'll take it." She glared at Dean. "Won't we brother?" She asked, before looking at the clerk. "It'll be just like when we were kids, you know when he used to still wet the bed...at 13."

The corner of Dean's lip lifted in a sarcastic smirk, nodding as he agreed to take the room. Handing over the credit card and receiving the keys back, he knew he'd have to sleep in the bathtub and leave her with the king size in all probablity. Once putting away both the keys and his card, he then looked over at Cade again, this time in shock.
"It'll be just like when we were kids, you know when he used to still wet the bed...at 13." Cade said. His eyes widened and just stared at her. "What?!" He exclaimed before looking back at the clerk who also had a brow raised. Laughing awkwardly, he added, "Nah, shes kidding," With that, he raised his hand to grip the back of her neck, fingers tight on the muscles before yanking her forward next to him. He knew his own strength though, and knew he wouldn't hurt her too bad that a neck rub wouldn't fix. "She's adorable though, aint she? Yeah, a real trip." He stated then turned towards the door, giving her a small shove. "C'mon, sister. Towards room 16." Dean stated through gritted teeth and followed after her through the door. "Lets get the bags." He addressed.

Cade suppressed a laughed when Dean practically dragged her out of the motel, towards the car. "Aww, come on Dean. Lighten up." She said, grabbing her small bag from the backseat while he got his mandatory bag of salt to line the door and windows. 'He needs to take that stick out of his ass' She thought, walking to room 16.
She looked back over at Dean who was still near the car. "Come on y'old fart!" She said, unlocking the door. "Dude, in 5 years you're gonna be the same damn age!" Dean grumbled, stalking over to the door. "And in 5 years you'll be a geezer." She laughed, tossing her bag on the chair next to the door and headed into the bathroom.

Dean's annoyance started to grow and clenched his teeth while he muttered under his breath, going to get his bags from the trunk, "You really are the little sister I never wanted..." Grabbing the duffle bag from the trunk, he swung it over his shoulder, other hand used to slam the trunk down again. "Come on y'old fart!" She yelled out to Dean as they walked towards door number 16. Looking over at her like she was insane, he snapped back, "Dude, in 5 years you're gonna be the same damn age!" Rolling his eyes at her punk ass comment.
Walking back towards the room, he stopped at the door and dug through his pockets, removing the keys and unlocking the door. Great... here it goes. He thought before entering the room and flicking the light switch. To the right of them, a king size bed. To the left, a TV and a harmless picture of a kitten. "Oh how adorable." He said as he walked in and dropped the bags.

Cade closed the bathroom door behind her, locking the rather grimy handle. "I'm gonna take a shower." She called through the thin door walking over to the shower stall and peering through the blurry glass. I hope to god I don't get hepatitis from this damn thing.. She thought, pulling off her sweater followed by her shirt. She folded her clothing neatly and put them by the sink before turning on the shower. She adjusted it to her preference and stepped in, double checking that there was a towel close by.
She quickly washed up, only freaking out once when she spotted what she swears up and down was a black widow in the corner of the stall. "Yuck." She mumbled, turning off the water and squeezing the water out of her hair. Thats not a completely girly thing to do...I just don't like potentially lethal..gigantic spiders. She tried to convince herself.

Dean watched Cade go off into the bathroom, hearing her exclaim through the door that she was taking a shower followed by water running. Sighing, he removed the leather jacket, tossing it on the large bed and took a seat. Now what? How were they supposed to share a bed? No, he'd end up sleeping on the floor, he knew it.
With a few moments passing by and Dean sitting in silence, it felt longer. Getting up finally, he went to the bathroom door and proceeded to pound his fist on it. "Cade!" He yelled. "Cade! Hurry up, I want to be able to take a hot shower and I'd really love it if you could tell me where you will be sleeping tonight." He said, trying to be as considerate yet firm as possible before mumbling under his breath, "...and I hope to God you say 'floor'."
