Muscles had tensed, digits wrapping themselves tighter against the rubber steering wheel of the jeep. With thoughts intruding of the suggested scene, jaw stayed clenched and tongue was held from any phrases that would be frowned upon. There was no other noise in the car; Jared had turned it down earlier to speak but really, it seemed like the silence had just fueled her unruly thoughts. Green orbs stayed locked on to the road; the last thing they needed was any time of hostility taken out on to her driving skills and hit a passerby or another vehicle. However, as much as she tried to keep collected, that didn’t change her decision. “Hell no,” She stated firmly before looking over at Jared in the passenger seat who seemed less than happy as well. “No way. I mean… what were you thinking asking me that? I know what he’s done to you…” She started, keeping eye contact both on the road and Jared. "You can't say no without hearing me o-" But she looked at him and he stopped there as he started again. "Oh c'mon, it's not that bad. It's a party. Brushing elbows with the monsters. Think of what you'll learn. Besides. His bite is worse than his bark."Rocky’s glance shot back to Jared again, lips parted and the surprised look never left her. It was a shock just for him to ask her to do that for him. To meet Jareth? She knew it wouldn’t go well. “Jared, I don’t think you understand. If I meet him, I can’t just say ‘Hey, how are you. Lets dance’ and be on my merry way. I know what he’s done to you. I don’t think I can be in the same room with him, let alone be all dolled up, and just let things go.” She stated, implying that she might end up getting angry enough to do things she’d regret in that situation. Sighing, she pouted in her seat, relaxing the grip she had on the steering wheel when listening to Jared's counter.

Jared had been staring out the window of the truck. Rocky wasn't taking the invite as well as he had hoped. Jareth wanted to meet her and Jared was worried if he refused, then there would be trouble for him and Rocky. Which, at the moment, was the last thing they needed. Everything had been going great and for once, he felt like he could relax a little more. Setting his jaw tight, he looked back over at her. "Rocky we have to go. Jareth doesn't usually invite outsiders to this, especially hunters." He stated, hoping she'd realize how rare this was. "He wants to meet you, that's all. You forget that I'm not human. I'm a monster like them and the only thing that makes it more tricky, is that I belong to him. You refuse, then I'll be paranoid about him sending someone after you. He doesn't take no. C'mon, your smart enough to know how arrognant vampires are. Even new ones." "Hell no. No way. I mean... what were you thinking asking me that? I know what he's done to you..." "You can't say no without hearing me o-" She turned to look at him and he could see the anger in her eyes. He was doing this out of pure intention to keep her safe. They'd drop in, say hi and leave. It was like taking your girlfriend to meet your parents. Jareth said he just need to see her, talk with her. Jared couldn't say he believed him completely, but he had no choice. "Oh c'mon, it's not that bad. It's a party. Brushing elbows with the monsters. Think of what you'll learn. Besides. His bite is worse than his bark." Jared added a smile, because that was suppose to be a joke. But her look told him she wasn't amused. "Jared, I don't hink you understand. If I meet him, I can't just say 'Hey, how are you? Let's dance' and be on my merry way. I know what he's done to you. I don't think I can be in the same room with him, let alone be all dolled up and just let things go." He let out a frusterated sigh and leaned his head back against the rear window of the truck. Tilting his head to the side, he stared out the side window. Most couples fight about cheating suspisions or not helping with the dishes. They were fighting about going to meet some centuries old vampire with a collar and leash on the boyfriend. The silence of the cab and stressed thoughts in his head were too much. Reaching for the volume dial, he didn't even ask but turned the volume back up to what ever station they had been listening to earlier. Apparently Raquel had a thing for oldies, because that was what came on. The beginning of a song and Jared broke into a grin. He shouldn't... He should. "You never close your eyes any more when I kiss your lips." It might have been safer if he just mouthed along but why miss the chance to embarrass her and make her smile. Their windows were both down and it was perfect to see other people could hear too. "And there's no tenderness like before in your fingertips." He kept making exaggerated facial expressions and just belted out the words. She wouldn't strangle him til they were parked. "You're trying hard not to show it, baby. But baby...BABY I KNOW IT!"

Rocky’s eyes just tried to concentrate on the road and not on Jared’s words, though it was hard to do that at the moment when every syllable just fueled the anger she was trying to keep hidden. Deep breath had been forced in through nostrils, and then out passed pink lips. Contemplating for a moment on how dire the situation really would be, she thought up the whole scene. The fact that she would probably wear some dress given to her that could be centuries of years old along with 10 pounds of make up. And how all around her would be similar dressed dancers yet underneath clothes and skin, they were dead inside. She was being locked up and had to play nice with the things she hated. However, volume in the jeep had been raised by Jared’s hand and the familiar oldie played. Music flowing and then Jared’s voice had caused Rocky’s eyes to widen and her mind to pause. "You never close your eyes any more when I kiss your lips." Green and coffee hued orbs had traveled over to stare at Jared for a moment, lips parted when he started to serenade her. “Jared…” She started but was quickly interrupted by him again. "And there's no tenderness like before in your fingertips…. You're trying hard not to show it, baby. But baby...BABY I KNOW IT!" At this point, Rocky’s eyes glanced to the other vehicles that also had their windows open and were unfortunate enough to hear Jared’s bellowing. Passengers, both male and female had glanced in their direction with smirks and some shaking their hands in embarrassment for Rocky. Blush had come to her cheeks and she had to chuckle a bit, discomfited. Trying to continue to steer the car on the highway while expressing a small grin, she just wanted to play it off like nothing was happening. “Alright, Jared… you’ve had your fun….” She coaxed, hoping that he’d stop.

Jared's smile just grew. He was embarrassing her and that was cruel. But he could see just a hint of a smile there. Rocky needed to learn to loosen up some days. Sure, Jared was proposing that she go and meet this master vampire but he would be right there beside her. Nothing was going to happen. They'd be in and out, free to go off on their own in no time. "Alright, Jared... you've had your fun... " Why stop now? Looking around, he could see all the people staring at them. Jared remembered the first time he watched Top Gun with Rocky. Great movie, great scenes. Turning his brown eyes on her, they sparkled with a mischief that usually got him in trouble. "You've lost that lovin feeling! Whoa, that lovin' feeling. You've lost that lovin' feeling, now it's gone...gone...gone...wooooooh whoa whoa..." The bellowing at the top of his lungs, the over-exaggerated emotional facial expressions...yeah, Rocky would kill him. But he would be sure to enjoy what ever punishment came his way. Eyes broke from her face when he heard a carload of young boys cheer as it passed. Chuckling, he reached for the volume and turned it down. Leaning over after, he kissed her on the expoused line of neck. "I love you," he whispered. "Especially when you're flustered." With that said, he sat back, turning to her with a little boy grin. With his hand holding the grip just above the window, he looked back out the front window. "C'mon. I promise not to serenade you in the middle of the ballroom." He promised. Thing was, he had to go to this ball and really didn't want to leave Rocky alone. He checked on her again, hoping she would change her mind. "I'll find you body guards. I swear, Dominic will follow your lovely rump around all night." Though that didn't sound very protective. More like an annoyance and possible groping oppurtunity. Maybe he'd have to find her another bodyguard.

Despite Rocky’s best efforts, Jared’s singing continued. And it seemed like all the more she blushed, the louder Jared would get. "You've lost that lovin feeling! Whoa, that lovin' feeling. You've lost that lovin' feeling, now it's gone... gone... gone... wooooooh whoa whoa..." He bellowed out and now she couldn’t help but laughing. Embarrassing, yes, but it was hard to ignore the urge to just laugh at him and call him adorable for the song and effort. Hearing the unfamiliar voices of younger males though caused her to stare in shock at the boys riding next to her car, cheering. A similar guffaw came from Rocky while cheeks turned rosy again. That was until she realized she was still driving and quickly looked back at the road and steered, trying to ignore it all. Rocky noticed that volume of the song had been lowered and quickly after that, felt Jared’s lips along her neck and shook her head. Trying to refrain from smiling, it was a lost cause because the grin soon crept up when he announced that he loved her. “Especially when you're flustered." It was times like these where Rocky didn’t know if she was lucky or cursed for being so happy. Sighing with a smile, she gave Jared a look. She still wasn’t happy with the idea of meeting Jared, yet now she was considering it, given she was in a better mood. Saying nothing still on her decision, Jared seemed to have to sweeten the deal still. "I'll find you body guards. I swear, Dominic will follow your lovely rump around all night." He answered and caused Rocky to look at him, laughing, “Oh. Oh, that is a perfect way to win your way into a girl’s heart.” She said, teasing him a bit. Sighing again, she stared at the road with a smirk and finally agreed. “Fine. Cause I ‘love you’,” she said, raising up one hand from the wheel to make air quotes, “I’ll go and meet Jareth.” She said. Thinking it over now though, where the hell was she going to get a dress? And where was she going to hide her gun?

"Oh. Oh, that is a perfect way to win your way into a girl's heart." Jared just smiled a little wider. Perhaps offering up a friend to watch her, wasn't going to be the most flattering idea but if he joked enough, she would give in. Looking away from her for a moment, he watched buildings whisk by them. Rocky really didn't have to go to this party. Jared on the other hand, had an inforced invitation to show. Having Rocky there just made him feel better. Either she'd meet Jareth face to face or someone would come after her and drag her in to meet the master vampire. The idea of volunteering to meet him seemed safer. Eyes came back to look at her. "It really isn't that bad. Dominic will keep his 'paws' off." He tried to reassure her. "If anything, you'd probably want to worry about the girls. If you think human girls acting on jealousy is bad, wait til you meet the furries." That was suppose to be a joke, but a little voice in his head told him that she wouldn't take it that way. If she was going to the party, IF, she needed to relax there. The last thing they needed as a fight breaking out in the middle of some 100+ monsters. "Fine. Cause I 'love you', I'll go and meet Jareth." The corners of Jared's mouth turned up in a smile. She wasn't thrilled but she had agreed. "Good. Because I have no choice and I don't want to leave you behind." Leaning over, he distracted her from the road for the moment by planting a kiss on her lips. Before they crashed and went up in flaming glory, he pulled away and sat back. "We'll leave tonight, a little early so you can get ready. I'm sure there's a few dresses lying around the manor." Course, the dress she would have to wear wouldn't have a side pocket for any kind of weapon. Unsure about how she would handle the enviroment of the manor, he looked over at her. "So, in all honesty, are you gonna be 'OK' with all this?" Maybe if he was lucky, Jareth will have had Riley trapped into going. Unlikely. She would be the only one to weasel out of it. Playing favourites was an evil thing but had benifits. Jared didn't want Rocky there with the beasties and wouldn't want his sister either. Still an ally, besides himself, for Rocky would have been nice.

Rocky tried to keep her attention on the road but that was proving to be difficult when Jared mentioned the other wolves. Rowan was brought up on several occasions just like Dominic and Jareth. She was certain to be there just like another female animal Rocky knew. Isabella Lebeau, Jareth’s niece, was going to be dolled up as well. And as much as she would have enjoyed seeing the bloodsucker in her fancy clothes, she wouldn’t go near the French native without arms. "We'll leave tonight, a little early so you can get ready. I'm sure there's a few dresses lying around the manor." Jared said to her as he settled in the car again. “And there will just happen to be one laying around in my size?” She grinned and looked at him, teasing a bit. Brows then quirked up and small smirk stayed apparent at the thoughts that all this wasn’t just pretend. Her and Jared and their relationship, were real. For a moment, she felt as if she were some teenager meeting her boyfriend’s parents. If only it were that simple. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The truck had slowly moved through the dirt path as Rocky followed Jared’s directions. This place wasn’t exactly on a road map like so many other centuries old castles. When stopping at the site of stone and brick piled to build the manor, she just stared in awe. With lights on and rays shining through oversized windows, Rocky’s astonishment continued. “Whoa…” She stared and quickly looked over to Jared, lips still pared, “Why didn’t you invite me over sooner?”

Jared was silent the whole ride. Nervous, moi? Terrified was a more accurate term. He continued to clench and unclench his fists the entire time. Trees rushed by, but his eyes stayed focused on the road. Since they were unadored for the party, Jared worried about Rocky being dolled up under the supervision of one of the wolves. And he knew who it would be. Staring at the stone manor, he felt no excitment about coming home. Hearing Rocky exclaim, he glanced over at her. "Whoa... Why didn't you invite me sooner?"Jared stared back at the manor. "Didn't think dark and dreary was your thing." He commented and then looked over at her. "I thought we wanted the cottage in the woods." Staring at her with soft, puppy eyes, he acted like he was offended by her being in awe of the manor. It was better than showing her he was frightened by the whole situation. The truck stopped in front of the manor and Jared climbed out. Standing by the truck, hands in his pockets, he sighed. "Home, sweet, home." He muttered and waited for Rocky to join him at his side. "Ready to meet the family, Peach?" Taking her hand, he led her up the stone steps. ---------------------------------------- Large wooden doors opened as if on command. The open main room, with its staircases and chandeliers, was buzzing with activity. People scurried about with decorations. Servers rushed past with covered platters. Better to not know what lie beneather the shiny lids. Jared kept a tight hold on Rocky but his thoughts were jarred. "JARED!" Looking to his side, he suddenly had a woman leaping into his arms. The surprise had him stumble back and his hand left Rocky's unintentionally. Instinctivly, he wrapped his arms around the woman's back to steady her and him. Jared stood stiff once he had balance and she eventually slid out of his arms. He found himself staring into Rowan's green eyes. "Hi...Rowan." He straighted his shirt and took a step foreward to grasp Rocky's hand again.

Rowan was hanging over the shoulder of a new male wolf. The boy thought he was a loucky guy but her interest wouldn't last long. When the doors opened, her head snapped up in attention. It can't be... Jared Weathers had wandered home after being gone all those months. Though Rowan wasn't fond of the seeing this new arm accessory he had. Leaving the boy behind, she weaved her way through all the servents. The small blonde wore tight jeans riding low on her hips. The high heeled boots added a good two inches to her 5'4 frame. The black and white corset was of a delicate lace material with thin straps. It amplified her already ample bust and bared two inches of flat stomach. Eyes and face were done up flawlessly. She knew how to attract and keep attention. Rowan jumped into Jared's arms. "JARED!" She squealed and could careless about the human at his side. But she felt his tension and knew how uncomfortable she made him. Grinning wickedly, she slid out of his arms, purpously pressing her curves against him. Eyes sparkled as she watched him. "Hi...Rowan." So he was indeed uncomfortable. Those mischievious orbs then fell on the hunter. Rowan stepped closer and proceeded to walk around the couple. A predator stalking prey. "She really has no meat on her at all. Not much to hold on to." She stopped in front of them and would have continued but was interrupted. "Rowan you are gonna frighten the Guest of Honor and ruin the party."------------------------------ Dominic was proving to be useful with the party preperation. He was helping with moving the heavy tables and directing people as they came and went. But when he heard Rowan's familiar squeal, he had to investigate. Dark eyes scanned the Great Hall and he found her molesting none other than Jared himself. Grinning because his friend was home, he made his way over. Since he had to change for the party still, he was dressed down for the day. A fitted black tee made it apparent he had spent some time working out. Like most men. Blue carpenter jeans hung tight on his hips and loose through the leg. He ran a hand over his stubbled jaw as he came up behind Rowan. "Rowan you are gonna frighten the Guest of Honor and ruin the party." He pointed out. Putting his hands on her arms, he leaned in and kissed her shoulder. He didn't have to see her face to know a smile was there. "I was only being friendly." Dominic chuckled at the idea of that being true. Rowan was never friendly towards other women. She only leaves Jared's sister alone for fear of Jareth's AND Jared's own wrath. His eyes took in Jared's significant other and he smiled. "She's pretty. A little on the small side but that can always make IT more fun. I'm Dominic. And this little vixen is Rowan. Don't worry, I'll only bite if you ask." He stated with another grin.

Rocky’s eyes had darted around the manor that seemed like Dracula himself could have owned it. Perfectly fitting every picture of antique houses, it had an undying amount of grace and mystique. And still, any person who stepped foot into that manor, alive or undead, they could detect the presence of evil from instinctive gut feeling. Hearing a female voice squeal, Rocky looked toward a peppy blonde jumping for joy as she noticed Jared had entered. Rocky eyed the girl and when he addressed her as Rowan, it seemed like the sudden loathing feeling had no choice but to arise. As the girl looked her up and down, probably considering sniffing her out soon, one of Rocky’s brows perked and arms folded over her chest. Rowan’s stance showed that she was indeed displeased and if allowed, she would have turned already. "She really has no meat on her at all. Not much to hold on to." Rocky chuckled in disbelieve at Rowan’s critique. Leave it to Rocky to get evaluated by a werewolf, let alone a whole horde of them when she made an appearance at the ball. “Oh well sorry to disappoint. It’s a good thing I’m not trying to impress you then.” She started, her smile noticeably fake but eyes turned into a heavy glare and smile faded into a disgusted look as Dominic approached. It was only for a moment before she played nicely again. "Rowan you are gonna frighten the Guest of Honor and ruin the party." The voice of the approaching male wolf rang out. Thoughts of having to deal with Dominic so early just caused Rocky to silently sigh and it took all she had to not groan out of annoyance of the beasts. "I was only being friendly." The blonde answered back. “Friendly?” Rocky quickly countered, shooting her new ‘friend’ a look. “All right then. Next time we exchange the secret ‘friendly’ password, I’ll be sure to call you an anorexic too.” She bulleted back. "She's pretty. A little on the small side but that can always make IT more fun. I'm Dominic. And this little vixen is Rowan. Don't worry, I'll only bite if you ask." The gnawing feeling in Rocky’s gut had continued to grow with every syllable Dominic spoke. She gave a nod of understanding when he introduced him and Rowan, then green orbs had shot over to Jared. Knowing any words that came from her mouth would be a dishonor for all women, she nudged her boyfriend in the shoulder. “Jared…” She spoke a warning, hoping he would be able to get them out of this situation.

Riley always loved driving during the dark hours of the day. Jared refused to after the accident. It was like it brought back the memories of that night. Riley couldn't blame him. Though it surprised her father that she didn't share the same fear. It was still the early part of the evening right now. Not yet full dark but dusk had set in. Fine with her. It meant the party would be starting soon. Yippee! Jareth had her out after pixies for the day. His reasoning was that hunting would wear her out. Ergo, she'd be a more pleasent party guest. He just forgot to factor in that she wouldn't be attending. Silly little vampire.Green eyes glanced down at her arms as the Jeep rolled along. Tiny red lines covered her skin. "Pesky pixies." She muttered and looked back up. The site she was gretted with was unexpected. KAZ_2Y5 stared back at her from its home on the back of the '65 Impala. Eyes narrowed a bit as she slowed down the Jeep. Confused, surprised, a little irritated. Ah hell, she was just one big pot of mixed emotions. She pulled the Jeep over and climbed out. No one was in the car and they were basically on Jareth's property now. Riley thought she saw movement in the treeline. Growling to herself because she really didn't need werewolves after someone else she cared about, she reached in to pluck her .45 off the seat. The gun stayed in her hand as she started for the trees that hid the manor. "God damn him..." --------------------------------------------------- Riley made her way across the forest floor. Of all areas for Dean to show up in, why Jareth's backyard? Keeping her fingers wrapped around the butt of the small gun, her eyes kept scanning the trees. He was an idiot. Had to be. Riley didn't even have to see to know werewolfs were patroling the manor's boundries.Keeping the steps light, she pushed branches out of her way and stepped over fallen logs. The only fear she had was either finding out he was in the manor, which meant Jareth had him or he would just be dead in the woods somewhere. Course there was another fear of herself being taken into the manor. They would do it. Oh those little brats would just love to drag her to their master and say she was trying to skip out on the party. The tree line was coming to an end. Where the hell was he? Riley caught a glimpse of the great stone building through the trees. For a moment she paused and stared at it. There was no describing the hate she had for that place. And yet in a weird, twisted way, it was home. She wouldn't lie. With all the...well they weren't people, but creatures there, it was like a big group home. As long as no one was threatening eachother, there were times when it was fun. Sighing, she turned and stared walking down the line. Better than attending the party right?

Jared kept a forced smile during the whole exchange. This was pretty much how he expected it to go. He was proud to see Rocky not backing down. Rowan was basically their alpha female at the manor. So she tended to challenge anything female that walked through those doors. Squeezing Rocky's hand, he was ready to leave this scene now. Maybe Riley was around and could help Rocky get ready for tonight. "Jared..." That was his cue. Smiling over at Rocky, he looked back at his friends. "Well guys, the reunion has been great but I should really show her around now." Stepping behind her, he placed his hand on the small of her back. Brown eyes met Dom's and he asked, "Is my sister around?" Jared usually expected Dominic to know if Riley was home or not. "Jareth had her out hunting. She should be home by now but I haven't seen her." The smile on Jared's face faltered. If she wasn't locked up in her room now, there was no way she was willingly coming back to the party. He only had one other choice. "Rowan can you meet us in your room in about 20 minutes?" He asked. Rowan agreed but with a suggestive comment of course. Jared started ushing Rocky way before something more started. He guided her towards one of the giant staircases. Apparently everyone knew about his hunter girlfriend because they were getting some stares. Jared hated doing this to her. He knew Jareth was just playing around. Only wanting to dangle the mouse in front of all the cats. Teasing her because she shouldn't hunt here tonight. They reached the top floor and he led her down the hall. Doors that lined the hall were adorned with decorations. Each one fitting the individual who lived behind it. Kind of like a dorm at college. Jared kept a tight hold on Rocky's hand. He pointed out Riley's door as they passed. It had posters of old and new rock bands, advertisments from magazines and yellow 'caution' tape. "I'll kill Riley later for abandoning you." They continued on til they came to his room. The outside had his name graffitted near the top. Riley had come in and pointed 'Jared <3's Rocky' near his name. He smiled a little, opening the door. "Yeah, she thinks she just so cute. Apparently it shows my softer side." He led her in and shut the door. The room was huge. With the drapes on the full length windows, to the large four poster bed. There was a sperate bathroom. Samll compared to the room but it had a shower. There was an entertainment center, couch, computer desk. Even a bass guitar near a stereo. He'd been gone for a while so it was actually clean. The one thing he had numerous amounts of were photos. Pictures from his childhood of family, some more as he grew up, ones involving his new life with the other wolves around the manor. Then there were the ones near his bed. Riley had struck again and got pictures of Rocky alone or with him. Jared stood back adn let her look around. "Well, well, well. Alone in my room at last." He stated with a teasing smile.

Rowan continued to smile at Rocky. "I like this one." The hunter had some fire in her. Knowing she'd be surrounded by beasties all night was going to be fun. Glancing up at Dominic, her eyes fell back on Jared's girl. "Friendly? Next time we exchange the secret 'friendly' password, I'll be sure to call you an anorexic too." The smile never fell from Rowan's face. Stepping up, she looked like she was inspecting Rocky, probably her wolf side looking at prey. For a moment her eyes melted away to a soft blue. Wolf eyes. Jared would never leave Rocky's side tonight, so Rowan would have to behave. Stepping back, she hooked her arms around one of the Dom's and snuggled against him. "Rowan can you meet us in your room in 20 minuntes?" He should have known when he asked, that he'd get a smartass answer. "Can I bring some friends?" She asked. Still though, she nodded in agreement. Eyes follwed the couple as they left. Her bottom lip stuck out in a pout. Dominic noticed and commented. "He's always going to be out of your leauge." Rowan didn't even glance up at him. She still had hopes. Especially with this party tonight. "Just because you can't manage to bag a Weathers, doesn't mean that's true for all of us. Jareth will see to it that they don't last." She then looked up at him. "And the pain of losing that last normal part of his life will drive him to me." Her lips spread into a grin. With a quick peck to Dom's cheek, she disappeared into the busy crowd. -------------------------------------- Dominic had to admit, Jared made a good choice in the girl when it came to looks. He didn't even hide the fact he was taking in her curves. Rowan was still after Jared and Dominic wouldn't mind being after Rocky. The whole Riley thing wasn't working out, but these things take time. So why not entertain himself in the mean time? "Is my sister around?" Dominic looked away from Rocky and back to Jared. Funny how he always assumed Dom knew where Ry was. Someday he was hoping he could reply with a 'Yeah, in my room.'. Some how he didn't think that would go well. Looking around with an almost secret grin, he asnwered. "Jareth had her out hunting. She should be home by now but I haven't seen her." He didn't wipe the grin from his face. Rowan latched onto his arm. Dominic didn't mind, he was quiet use to it by now. He didn't watch Jared so much when they walke daway, but his eyes were on Rocky. He happened to glance down at Roan and see her pout. "He'll always be out of your leauge." Jared wasn't a slut and really wasn't into any of the wolfy girls. Dominic had tried, numerous times, to turn him into a manwhore. He said that's how a real man was. Rowan didn't seem to agree with his statement. "Just because you can't manage to bag a Weathers, doesn't mean that's true for all of us. Jareth will see to it that they don't last. And the pain of losing that last normal part of his life will drive him to me." He chuckled adn recieved teh friendly peck. With his hands in his pockets, he watched her wander away. "Adios, chica." Eyes travelled back to the stairs and he stared at them. Tonight was going to be a ball. Pun intended.

The tall tires of the Impala stood still parked in the gas station as the owner of the classic was inside. Form of the male was stuck between two men that were checking out the redhead behind the counter. And it was simply because he was doing the same that he even noticed. Dean’s weight shifted as did the coffee in his hand, he stepped toward the cashier after the man ahead of him retired to his 18 wheeler. Setting the coffee and the doughnut pack on the counter, digits took out the leather wallet from his inside jacket pocket and fingers dug into to the single five-dollar bill. “Coffee- black?” Feminine voice spoke before green orbs look up to the redhead ringing up the two items. Giving off a little grin while handing the girl the bill. Well at least she wasn’t a blonde and he would have to recount the money when she gave it back. “Yeah,” Dean answered simply while watching her put his money in the register. “Kinda like that joke. ‘I like my men like I like my coffee…” She started. Dean took a whole moment to think about a response before joking back “Hot, creamy and rich?” He said with another friendly smirk and pocketing his change. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The caffeine Dean had earlier had carried him through this night. It was still early evening but when you were a huntsman like Dean, sleep either didn’t come easy or not at all. The manor was off road so Dean’s precious baby was parked hidden by trees and brush hopefully from any patrolling werewolves. The hunter was armed of course when hiding in the backwoods of the manor, just inspecting the ground, but it was more of recon work. It was actually like a hunter’s dream; feeding time. A bunch of werewolves and vampires together in the same house? It was too easy. Aural sense picked up the sound of a snapping branch and following after that was a girl. The brunette has passed by the wood and that was as far as he could tell with her. She was a brunette. Nothing saying she was neither human nor wolf. Not until her head turned and Dean’s eyes widened in realization. Instantly, old teenager emotions rushed up and gnawed at his gut, knowing now his plan to distroy the A former girlfriend or as she would say, somebody on Dean’s list of female conquest. Muscles tensed and contemplation over if he should approach brewed. She was a human and a friend; not to mention she was the reason he even knew about the manor. Sighing, he crept slowly through the brush, making his way towards the girl. Combat boots had traveled toward her and he waited until not another being was in site. Quickly, one arm wrapped around her shoulders, hand covering her mouth so she wouldn’t scream and attract attention. Free arm wrapped around her waist as he looked over her shoulder to show her it was a friend. “Shhh…” He let out softly as he backed up to bring her deeper into the forest. Once coated in darkness, he let her go and turned to look at her, whispering still. “Riley…” He started but realized that he couldn’t exactly ask why she was here. She had every right; she lived there. So, as a last resort, he added. “…Hey.”

Riley continued to comb through the area. Each step brought more worry into her mind. Was Dean already dead? Caught? She swallowed the lump of fear in her throat. Told herself he was one of the better hunters she knew. The edge of the woods were coming up. Light from the manor created an eerie glow in the night. The site made Riley pause. Rocky was in there, amoung all those beasts. Jared would protect her though. Stay by her side all night. Lost in thoughts of her own, she never heard the approaching human. Arm came around her shoulders, hand over her mouth and the other arm around her waist before she could scream. It wasn't one of the wolves. They wouldn't dare. With wide eyes and trying to struggle, she turned to look at the face. All the fighting back ceased. "Riley... Hey.Relief washed over her like a tidal wave. There was no containing herself, as she threw her arms around his neck. "Dean!" She tried to keep the shout down to a whisper. Hugging him, she thanked 'whomever' that no one had found him yet. "You're ok, you're alright, you... you..." She released him and lightly smacked teh side of his head. "You moron. What were you thinking? Why are you here?" Though as she rattled off questions, she heard muffled voices. Some of the werewolf guards were making their way by. Clutching his arm, she slowly pushed him further into the trees. Least if discovered now, Riley could perhaps keep him from harm. For teh whole moment that the wolves moved by, Riley was quiet. Sure she was happy to see Dean alive but to see him... He was a friend but after she told him about her and Jared, she never really witnessed his full reaction to the news. Now she was nervous as to how he felt about the situation. Especially now that she found him here. At Jareth's home. The guards were gone and Riley turned back to look at Dean. Now would be a good time for answers. Glancing down at her hand, she quickly let go of his arm. "So... You're here because...?" Her eyes looked up to meet his.
