"Are you on something, Trev?" asked a very surprised Roxy Ryan as she looked over at her older brother, who wasn't taking the "Make yourself at home." gesture lightly. Trevin was plopped comfortably on the bed nearest to the door and was muching happily on a bag of Lays chips. Roxy sighed and sat on the unoccupied next to her brother's. She had just gotten done with a gig; werewolves. A pack of them were killing off locals, and her opinion, the town couldn't lower their population rank any lower. Roxy looked over at Trevin and shook her head. "Make sure you clean up the crumbs. The owner of this place isn't to keen on messes." she said, giving her brother an exasperated look as she nodded toward the little pieces of chips that had missed his mouth. That was mostly what Trevin would do to reduce awkward silences; eat something, and leave Roxy stuck watching him or listening to his crunching. "So.... you really want to go camping?" she asked, tilting her head to the side a little. Roxy remembered going camping with Trevin as a little girl when she was growing up. Now, she rarely ever even saw him and when she did, they sometimes fought, or barely spoke to each other. Now, he was offering what he referred to as "A weekend of fun and adventure." To Roxy, he sounded like one of those annoying commercials that tried to get you to go somewhere. Roxy bit her lower lip, and looked at Trevin, trying to decide if he was kidding or not.

"Are you on something, Trev?" The question that came out of his younger sister's mouth didn't surprise Trevin in the least. Sighing, he sat up from the bed and cocked his head to the side. "Would that happen to be a trick question?" he asked, tilting his head to the other side. Seeing that Roxy was being a complete one hundred percent serious at the moment, he shook his head. "No, I'm not on anything." he said shaking his head. Looking towards the window, Trevin shielded his eyes from the bright sunlight. "It's too damn bright." he muttered to himself as he walked towards the window and closed the curtain.
"Make sure you clean up the crumbs. The owner of this place isn't to keen on messes." Trevin walked back over to the bed and looked lazilly down at the chip crumbs. He could barely see them; they were so tiny. "Well, if it keeps Mr. Bates off my ass..." he said more to himself than to Roxy as he brushed the crumbs onto the once white carpet. "What?" Trevin asked innocently as Roxy gave him a disaproving look. "I'm not getting on my hands and knees to pick up ant sized crumbs." he stated as he sat back on the bed.
"So.... you really want to go camping?" Trevin looked at Roxy and frowned. "You're doubting me? When have I ever pulled your leg?" he asked, running a hand through his brown hair that was starting to grow back. "When have I pulled your leg in the past month?" he asked, deciding to rephrase the question. Trevin knew that Roxy could have easilly come up with ten occasions where he hadn't been Mr. Honesty with her. But this wasn't one of those times. Trevin really wanted to go camping with his sister, but the look of things, he could tell she was hesitant. "Tell you what.... You can bring a friend. That's how serious I am, Rox." Trevin said, looking over at Roxy.

"Would that happen to be a trick question?" Roxy looked at Trevin and rolled her eyes. "No, that would not happen to be a trick question." she answered in a slightly annoyed voice. Sometimes, Roxy just couldn't stand how cocky her brother could be. She would ask him a question, and he wouldn't give a straight answer. on smart-ass remarks followed by a sudden change of subject. Trevin usually changed the subject to the weather, or how the Cubs rocked a game one day and sucked the next. That was the way Roxy's brother was, and she couldn't change him. Ever. "Well, if it keeps Mr. Bates off my ass..." Roxy smirked and laughed, looking at her brother sideways. "To tell you the truth, I think he likes you. On the way, I could have sworn he was checking you out." she said, the smirk on her lips widening by the time she finished the sentence. Truth was, the manager wasn't checking trevin out, at least not when she was looking, but it was still fun to mess with her brother's head. "Maybe you two can go out for diner or something." she suggested in a serious voice, shrugging her shoulders, "Tell you what.... You can bring a friend." At this statement, Roxy raised her eyebrows with curriousity and sat up on the bed. She tucked her legs in and sat indian style as she pondered on whether Trevin was pulling her leg or not. "That's how serious I am, Rox." That last statement convinced Roxy that Trevin was being serious. All the other times when he would be lieing to her, a dimple in his left cheek would appear, but not this time. "Fine. I'll go, but I get two friends." she said, leaning forward and waving two fingers in front of Trevin's face.

"No, that would not happen to be a trick question." Trevin looked at Roxy, shaking his head. He frowned that she had retorted seriously to a question that wasn't serious. Sometimes, Trevin thought that Roxy was losing her sense of humor, but he pushed that thought aside as he reached for the remote to the tv and turned it on. "Think I can get some Girls Gone Wild on this thing?" he asked, with a smirk, turning his attention from the tv to Roxy, who again, wasn't so ammused. "I think we need to get you some chocolate." Trevin said, shaking his head sadly at her.
"To tell you the truth, I think he likes you. On the way out, I could have sworn he was checking you out." Looking at Roxy with raised eyebrows, Trevin bit his bottom lip, shaking his head. "Well, that's just wrong. Even if I did swing that way, I wouldn't even.... Ew." he said with a shiver. "Maybe you two can go out for dinner or something." Trevin shook his head and glared at Roxy. "Now, you're scaring me. A lot." he said, standing up from the bed, glaring at Roxy stronger than he had before.
"Fine. I'll go, but I get two friends." Trevin turned and looked at Roxy with raised eyebrows. "Two friends? It was just supposed to be you and me, Roxanne." he said, using her full name. The only time when Trevin did this was when he was really upset with her, and this was one of those times. He was being nice enough to let her bring a; one; uno friend, and here she was, wanting another to come? "Fine." he muttered, not making eye contact with Roxy. "Who is going to be?" Trevin asked, this time making eye contact.

"Think I can get some Girls Gone Wild on this thing?" Roxy looked at her brother and shook her head. Sometimes she wished that her brother would just keep some things to himself rather than letting them out. "If you do, I'm leaving and you can pay Bates for the room. Oh, wait. You're broke. Maybe you can pay him a different way." she said with a small shrug, the smirk returning to her lips. The smirk widened as Trevin glared at her, obviously not amused. "I think we need to get you some chocolate." Roxy looked at Trevin and grinned, running a hand through her hair. "You know I'm a sucker for Hershey's." she said. Though she knew what Trevin meant by the statement, she let it pass. "Now, you're scaring me. A lot." Apparently, Trevin wasn't very fond of the owner of the motel, and didn't like Roxy teasing him. "And you don't ever scare me?" Roxy asked looking at her brother with raised eyebrows. She frowned at Trevin's glare and stood up from the bed that she bad been sitting on. Roxy leaned over to the side and stretched one side before she went in reverse and stretched the other. The bed wasn't exactly comfortable and she had a few aches and pains from the springs. "Two friends? It was just supposed to be you and me, Roxanne." Roxy frowned, knowing that Trevin just wanted this to be a brother sister camping trip. The truth was, Roxy loved her brother, but things would be awkward. Even the short time that he was visiting her in the motel room was awkward. Roxy was about to say nevermind about bringing one friend when Trevin had agreed to two. "Fine. Who is it going to be? At the question, Roxy bit her lower lip. She didn't really know she wanted to come along. Well, she did, but she didn't want any harsh feelings and regrets to be exchanged. Roxy looked back at Trevin and saw that he was patiently waiting for her answer. "I was thinking Chrissy... And.... and Tyler." she said with a nod, sitting in a chair by the window.

"You know I'm a sucker for Hershey's." Trevin looked at Roxy and smirked as he started to pace boredly around the room. There wasn't much room that he could walk around, but what could you expect for ten bucks a night? "Good. Then you can go right ahead and treat yourself." he said with raised eyebrows. Roxy gave him an annoyed look and sucked on the inside of her cheek. "You're broke." "What? Like you said, I'm broke." he said, slapping his side pockets. Trevin pretended that he was pondering and nodded. "Yes. I do believe you said 'You're broke.' Maybe you should think before you talk, Rox." he said with a cocky grin.
Sighing, Trevin walked over towards the bed, but didn't sit down. Instead, he just stood there, looking around with pure boredom. "And you don't ever scare me?" Looking at Roxy with his head tilted to the side, he grinned. "Now that's the trick question." he said with a nod. Trevin smiled as he heard a chuckle escape from Roxy. Nowadays, it seemed like everything he did or said just annoyed her, but he had a feeling that this camping trip would bring them closer together, no matter how awkward things would be.
Tapping his foot impatiently, Trevin waited for Roxy to answer his question. He watched her as she bit her lower lip and tilt her head to the side as she pondered with amusement. Trevin had a feeling that she would invite Brandi. Them being best friends and all would make sense her inviting Brandi. And then there was Chrissy. Trevin had never met her before, but my the way Roxy talked about her, Chrissy seemed like a nice enough girl. "I was thinking Chrissy... And.... and Tyler." Finally. An answer. Trevin frowned, thinking he had heard a man's name. One that he didn't recognize. "Chrissy and.. Sorry I missed that last part. I could've sworn I heard you said Tyler." he said with a shrug and a small laugh.
