Staring blankly into the rearview mirror of her car, Rocky took in a deep breath. Goodness, if only her father could see her now. Torso was wrapped in a leather vest, and she just thanked God for not having to wear ass-less chaps. Granted, her goal there was to get close to the female workers, but she’d rather achieve that goal without getting groped by ever drunken male there. And the only real advantage she had with this bounty hunter costume is that she was able to carry a gun without raising any brows.

Eyes had shot over to the strip bar that had been placed so brazenly on the city street. She had holstered the semi-automatic that she thought was fitting with the outfit and then reached over the seat and slipped on the black cowboy hat before stepping out of the parked truck and towards the club titled, Scarlet’s. Entering, she saw the many lounge chairs gathered around various catwalk-like stages, women in cages and the usual pole dancers. She let a sigh escape her lips as she made her way towards the bar, gun holster banging against her hip and just prayed to God, she’d be ignored and could just observe the crowd tonight.

The preacher wasn't a preacher tonight. He was a regular pervert. And he wasn't in some deep undercover operation; he was just enjoying himself in his lustful sins. God knows he wasn't a saint...not a good one anyway...he was just like everyone else, complete with their weaknesses.

He glanced over to the main stage. Jiggling tits. That's what life boiled down to. A man would sell his soul for them, he'd give away all he owned. It was pathetic, but the preacher was no better, wallowing in his own sorrow at the bottom of his whiskey bottle, thinking of past hunts, about human weakness, about the friggen meaning of life.

Speaking of the whiskey bottle, there it stood by his side, jeering him silently, willing him to take another drink. He knew he couldn't resist, just like the reason he came back to this strip club night after night. He wanted some happiness in his life, but everything he experienced just brought more sadness regardless of what it felt like. He finished off his pouring the dregs out into his glass and hurling the drink back, into his throat.

That was enough, he'd stayed long enough; it was time to go. He picked up his overcoat which was strewn over the stool next to him and took another look at the podium before his attention was brought to a new arrival. She was heading straight for the bar. Fit was an understatement. He blinked as he froze, before averting his gaze when he realised he was staring. He smirked as he looked down at the ground, the first time he had smiled in weeks, and decided then and there that maybe it wasn't time to leave. He wasn't in a hurry, was he? Maybe he'd have a couple more drinks.
He plonked himself back down on the stool and whistled over the bartender, "'Nother bottle, ta." he requested as he slid another sideways glance in at the apporaching beauty.

Rocky maneuvered her way through the crowd of various drunken men, and wasn’t really too keen on her surroundings just yet. The hunt was for a succubi; a regular child of hell who got its perks and literally, its life, from seducing young men. After doing an obscene amount of research, she had traced every male victim from Seattle back to being at this bar prior to his death. So Rocky’s assumption could only be that the corporeal body of the succubi was one of the dancers at this club.

Stopping at the bar next to the stranger that had just arrived, she looked to the bartender that had just approached to serve the new costumer. Music of course had blasted through the speakers, rotating from a slower song to something more upbeat but nonetheless, loud, causing Rocky to strain her voice. “Hey, Bar-keep? What time does this place close tonight?” Alright, she didn’t seem like a regular, asking questions that a stripper who worked there wouldn’t normally ask but she would like an estimate on how long she’d have to stay and blend into a hell hole like this.

Rocky received four fingers from the bartender, signaling that the club would close at 4am. Glancing down to her watch, she noticed she’d have to stay for a few hours and had to rack her brain for something to keep her occupied until then. Purposely leaving money at home, she guaranteed herself not to drink and there was no way in hell she would be getting up on stage. It was at this time she had actually noticed the man sitting on the stool next to her. Scruffy beard, shaggy hair, bright blue eyes and smelled of whiskey. Nodding to him as she tapped her fingers on the wooden bar, she released a friendly smile to the young man as she greeted, “Hey,”

"Hey." he replied quickly, almost a little too eager.
He hoped she was this gorgeous when sober. He smiled lopsided at her as he swayed gently.
He looked back down to the glass in his hand, rather coyly as he became aware she was looking at him, "You work here?" he asked.
He knew it was a stupid question; she didn't seem to be the type who'd enjoy the company of women and her clothing was the first thing he noticed when he spotted her. It wasn't the kind of attire he thought women would dress up in with their own tastes. But then again, he'd seen his fair share back home. Essex girls, God....fake nails, hair brighter than the sun and miniskirts travelling so far north they'd surely feel the cold in the Arctic.
But no, this girl didn't look like the type.
His eyes lowered lazily from the drink, he chewed nothing and sloshed the saliva around his mouth before taking another shot of his whiskey and pouring himself another glass.

"You work here?" The stranger had asked her.
Rocky’s eyes were facing straight to the bartender, though didn’t know why she was sticking around. She doubted it was because of lack of entertainment, since she could always just slip away and stay in a corner somewhere, just taking in every detail. However, when the male next to her asked his question, her green eyes softly moved to him.

Rocky knew her job, and she knew to do this she’d have to keep her cover. However, was she going to jump at the chance to give this guy a lap dance for a few singles? Hell no. “Uh…. Yeah.” She answered with a soft smile to keep up the appearance that she was a stripper and interested in earning some cash tonight. “But I’m not on my shift yet.” She stated quickly. God, what was she doing here? How the hell was she supposed to keep this all up? Claim she wasn’t on shift for the whole night? It didn’t sound like an ideal plan.

Glancing down to his drink, she had the notion that he was hear for a while. The smell of liquor he gave off, the way he gulped down the bitter liquid with no hesitation and him being drunk would give a succubus the perfect opportunity for her next feeding. Especially if he was here often. Her eyes had scanned over him, her pink lips parted in concentration when she asked, “You come here often?”

The preacher paused before he took another drink and then glanced over to her curiously. He placed the glass back down without taking a drink and started chuckling, "Wow...almost sounds like you're hitting on me." he grinned, glancing up from his drink. "You could do with better chat up lines though."
He sighed and shifted his jaw again sloppily, "Yeah." he answered seriously, "I'm a lonely sod who has nothing better to do than come here, watch ladies undress, dance around for a bit and accept my cash." he picked up his glass again and brought it to his lips. "This is what my life boils down to." he muttered, bringing the glass down against the bar a little harder than he expected. He sighed again, here he was, taking to a beautiful woman and what was he doing? Still feeling sorry for himself.
He looked up to the bartender, "Hoi, could I get another glass here?"

The bartender looked at him and then to the woman next to him before he reached under the counter and pulled out a clean glass.

"Cheers." the preacher smiled, before putting pressure on the top of the glass and sliding it slowly across the bar towards this woman.

Rocky laughed a bit awkwardly at the man sitting next to her and then shifted her eyes away, as she leaned her elbows on the bar, clasping her hands together. Releasing one, she had removed the cowboy hat and placing it on the bar beside her before clasping her hands together again. “I’m uh, I’m not hitting on you.” She said since she didn’t want the guy to get the wrong idea right away. All right, sure, she’d want information but to go that far? She would be a little on the stubborn side.

Rocky’s eyes scanned over the stranger again, investigating him. He would sure be a great target for a demon but she didn’t understand why he was alone. By the looks of it, if he were sober, he shouldn’t have too much trouble finding a woman, especially with how American women liked the sound of a British accent. However, he was here, gulping down his pain with whiskey, scotch and should be moving on to a bottle of Jose soon enough.

Seeing how he had pushed the glass to her, she eyed it, her lips still parted in a dilemma. She didn’t want to drink; she was here on a job, hunting. But would a stripper normally reject alcohol? Probably not. She wasn’t a lightweight but impairing her judgment was something she wanted to steer clear off. Smiling another friendly grin, she shook her head, “Oh, no thank you. I um… its pretty early for me to start already.” She fibbed. Seeing him in this sort of condition, drunk and already being a bit forward, she thought that this guy could be the perfect target, but wouldn’t want to monopolize her time with him when there was another victim. She’d have to remove him from the bar and danger. “Um, listen, I think you’re a little on the drunk side.” Putting her hand on his wrist, she slowly pushed the glass away from his lips, “I know I’ll probably get in trouble for this but maybe you should you go home.”

“I’m uh, I’m not hitting on you.”

He grinned, and brought his hand up to the bridge of his nose. The hangover had already started. Which was strange considering he hadn't even stopped drinking yet. Surely the defining factor of drinking was that if you kept it up, you'd never have a hangover. He smiled briefly again as he lowered his hand, "Well, no need to put a downer on my night." he smirked.

He looked disappointed as she refused his drink. Weren't strippers there to make a guy feel comfortable? Matters were further confused by the hand on his wrist. He curiously looked down at her touch and raised his eyes to her blazing green eyes with a raised eyebrow. He hadn't expected her to touch him. Not there anyway.

“I know I’ll probably get in trouble for this but maybe you should you go home.”

OK, this was getting suspicious. "What are you doing?" he asked as his eyes narrowed and blinking out of focus, "You're not...wha'? I'm not nearly drunk enough, luv." he replied, turning back to the bar and picking his glass up again.

Something at the back of his mind; the still sober part, started turning. Something was going on. Strippers didn't kick the drunken yobs out. They got out of the way while the boucners did the work. Lord knows he'd seen it most nights here. He hadn't got grabby, so why was she so concerned about his state of being?

Sighing at this stranger’s difficulty with following her advice, Rocky’s eyes had moved to the bar again. Elbow still leaned on the wood as she thought about how she was going to get this guy to get out of here. He was already asking questions on her intentions and she couldn’t blame him. More men drinking meant heavier tips for a stripper. And that fact was obvious, which would mean trouble for Rocky.

Looking back to the male sitting next to her, her pondering stopped when she said, “I’m just looking out for the customers best interest.” She answered which was mostly true. He didn’t want to end up dead, she thought, though with the way he was drinking it was hard to think differently. With a little shrug and a sweet nervous laugh, “I mean, you don’t want to have to stumble your way out of the bar and walk home alone, do you?” She asked.

Rocky’s eyes darted to look at one of the dolled up girls, passing by her as she turned to look away. The situation she had applied herself to was fickle and could easily go sour. For one, another dancer could notice she shouldn’t be in costume, resulting in her cover being compromised. Another problem was if this guy was way too drunk and a complete asshole when he was drunk. His judgment didn’t seem completely impaired if he was able to understand that a stripper would never tell a man not to drink. But he just had to have the wrong attitude and a bad day and the consequence was him refusing to leave the bar.

However, as stubborn as this guy was, Rocky wouldn’t allow that to happen either. Putting an arm around the man’s shoulder, she leaned in with a smile as her digits grasped around his glace of liquor and added the ecouragement sweetly, “C’mon. How about you give me this drink and be on your merry way home, huh?

“I mean, you don’t want to have to stumble your way out of the bar and walk home alone, do you?”

The man blinked lazily and tilted his head back away from her, before readjusting his lopsided head to see her more clearly, "Are you wanting to take me home?" he asked as one of his fiendish grins spread across his face, "I'm slightly flaccid at the minute, but I'm sure I could stiffen something up for you." he grinned. He really wasn't so subtle when drunk.

The degree of numbness coursing through his body still could not hide her touch as he felt her arm around his shoulder. Half his brain told him he was the luckiest man alive, the other half wondered what she was after. And the neglegible leftovers drowned themselves in alcohol.

Another token smirk played over his features as he left the glass on the bar top, "OK, I'll make a deal...you do me a favour and I'll leave." he negotiated playfully.

“Are you wanting to take me home? I'm slightly flaccid at the minute, but I'm sure I could stiffen something up for you."

It took all Rocky had in her not to roll her eyes at this guy. But she kept telling herself that he was drunk, and probably a nice guy when he was sober. Stressing the fact that “probably” was the key word there was running through her mind over and over again. Hunters weren’t supposed to be biased, even if the victim in the hunt wasn’t the nicest of people.

"OK, I'll make a deal...you do me a favour and I'll leave."Rocky’s brows at perked up with both suspicion and curiosity. Please, let it be nothing sexual. She begged inside her own head as she looked at him. Removing her hands from her, she tilting her head a bit, leaning her elbow back on bar when looking to him. “That just depends what it is.”

Biting her lower lip hard, her eyes diverted back to the crowd that kept building up the later it got. Rocky knew she had to get this guy out of the bar before mingling once again with other friends of whiskey and knew that finding the succubus in the crowd of girls was impossible. She’d have to wait until closing time to stalk her pray leaving with one unlucky drunken male. Unfortunately, first, she’d have to get this guy out of the bar and she was in too deep with him already.

He tilted his head, a smug look on his face as though he thought he was actually getting somewhere with this girl.

“That just depends what it is.”

"A kiss." he replied, the pitch of his voice rising, not from a question but mingled drunkeness and excitement. "Otherwise..." he added, looking her in the eye, "I'm staying here all night." he finished by taking another shot of whiskey.

He shut his eyes tightly as the burning liquid hit the back of his already burning throat. He had one too many...or was that 21 too many? Regardless, his vision impaired, he looked down at the blurry bottle. He reached for it to pour himself another glass but his hand-eye coordination went out the window and he missed it by five inches. He giggled like a child. Like a schoolgirl actually, at his predicament. Sighing, he looked back at this mysterious woman; he couldn't even tell what her reaction was to his request thanks to copious amounts of this Devil's blood in his belly.

"A kiss. Otherwise... I'm staying here all night."

Rocky seemed to hold her breath for a moment at the stranger's request. Was he seriously that drunk? Laughing in disbelief, she looked away to grab the black cowboy hat again and snugged it on top of her head. "See, this is why I wanted to get you out of here. So you dont do something stupid." Rocky wasn't a prude creature, however, she didn't like to run around kissing drunken men that she met in bars.

Despite her comment though, she felt as if she needed to explain herself further before denying him of his request.
"Listen, buddy, you don't even know my name and even if I told you, you'd probably forget due to your in take of alcohol. And even if I did know you, I still wouldn't be able to kiss you." She said, her speed of speaking had increased under the nervous situation before adding simply, "We have a strict 'no kissing' policy here."
Rocky's fibs had just continued to rack up in numbers. And even though she thought she created a very valid excuse for this man, she didnt expect him to leave. With his boldness in asking such a burden on the girl, combined his stubbornness and realization of how there were no worries here, she knew he would stay.

Rocky's eyes then met the site of the giggling Brit that had feebley dropped the bottle. He was smashed. The probablity of remembering wasn't good if he couldn't even pour his poison bottle anymore. But kissing a stranger was putting herself in danger as well as sinking that low.
"Please?" She asked with pleading eyes when looking back to him after actually considering it. "Please, dont make me."

"See, this is why I wanted to get you out of here. So you dont do something stupid."

The man recovered himself enough to respond to that. His senses were dulling by the minute, but the drink was bringing out his real self.
"Trust me, luv...I could do a whole lot worse..." he glanced around to the other customers who had eye candy in their laps. They were very much ditzy, boobalicious and peroxide blondes. Well, they were before his vision blurred to shortsightedness. This new girl didn't fit in; she was 'fresh'. And Preacher was ready to defile her.

"Listen, buddy, you don't even know my name and even if I told you, you'd probably forget due to your in take of alcohol. And even if I did know you, I still wouldn't be able to kiss you."

He ignored her refusal, but focused on the her name. To tell the truth, he couldn't focus on the whole sentence anyway in his current state of mind.
"I bet it's something pretty, like Skylar...or Crystal." his grin could not get anymore Joker-like.

"We have a strict 'no kissing' policy here."

He chuckled quietly, before it turned into a cough as he coughed up some mucus and quietly swallowed it, "We could always go somewhere else, honey."
Provided she helped him of course. Getting up from that stool would be a one way ticket to the floor. He knew he wasn't getting anywhere; he'd probably fall asleep before anything happened, but he was amusing himself. The only thing left was his enjoyment, everything else had left him.

"Please? Please, dont make me."

The man sighed aas the grin slowly faded from his face. He propped his chin up with the palm of his hand, his fingers resting on his cheek as he looked her in the eye. "Sweetheart....I'm a wanker. I'm a fucking and utter thingy. I care for nobody but myself. Been that way my whole life." he glanced back down at his glass. Since when had he stopped drinking? "So, I really have no reason to stop."

Rocky’s eyes shifted to each of his baby blues in worry. She could just walk away and let this guy drink away his sins, which she wouldn’t recommend to herself. If he really were in danger, then she would have to whatever was necessary. It was her job. But if he were to go so far as exploitation of a young girl and call himself selfish, then perhaps he was better off alone.

Rocky’s eyes moved away when biting her lower lip in thought. Any other day, if it were her choice, she’d gladly kiss this guy. But being obligated to just to her job –in the name of hunting- it really showed who was in control. The player, or the game. Finally, she gave in. Looking back to the stranger, her teeth released her lip when she stated, “You know, touching or groping of any kind earns you a kick in the crotch and a bouncers ticket out of here.” She stated before pushing herself off of the counter, glancing around since apparently, her fib had caused reason for relocation.

When seeing the guy start to get up, green orbs had quickly shot back to him. She had raised her hand up to stop him before saying, “Wait, I want to know your name first.” She agreed to his request. He at least owed her that much.
