Jared looked over at Rocky and was starting to dislike this idea. Just because this friend wasn't home, didn't make him anymore comfortable to be staying on a hunter's property. Though, Rocky didn't come out and call this friend a hunter but Jared had a pretty good feeling this guy was. His sister glanced at him and he told her with his expression how he felt about this. "Um, listen I'd rather not make too much noise. You know, neighbors and all that." Jared thought she sounded a little worried about them staying here. Looking around, he coudln't see any other house but sure..didn't want to wake the neighbors. Opening his door, he slid out and held it open for Riley. Then he followed Rocky to the back of the truck and pulled out the orange duffle. "So, please tell me there's a shower in that barn." Jared chuckled at this little comment. That was Ry for you. Trying not to be so obvious, yet it never really worked out for her. "I'm sure the cows have a trough." Jared stated, looking down at his sister. "Then there's bound to be a hose around here somewhere." It wasn't unexpected when she shot him a glare and he continued just to chuckle about it. Walking through the grass, he stared up at the dark night sky, enjoying just being out here instead of cooped up in some hotel or even worse, the manor.

Rocky’s boots had hit against the gravel, allowing a crunching sound to flow through. Her bags were slung on her shoulder as she walked towards the barn and was relieved not to see any lights in the house currently on. It was pretty late, so it was possible Jacen was already asleep. But she usually had to work with getting things she wanted, such as staying here undetected. "Uh, are you sure this is ok? I mean if your friend isn't real big on company..." Glancing back at Riley, her lips slightly parted since they seemed still hesitant about staying in the barn of a person they didn’t know, which who wouldn’t? But this made Rocky more nervous and if it weren’t for her poker face, she’d be easy to read. “Oh no, he’ll be fine with it.” She assured her. "So, please tell me there's a shower in that barn." Riley had asked sarcastically and Rocky had to hide her little laugh. "I'm sure the cows have a trough. Then there's bound to be a hose around here somewhere." Jared answered for her. Rocky glanced back at them again; smile playing on her expression again to the siblings before returning back to look at the barn in her path. In all honesty, she was nervous about breaking in. She had people with her, which means if she got caught, Jacen would take it out on all of them, and then she’d end up looking untrustworthy to Riley, Jared and Jacen. "So when's this friend getting back? I mean we aren't going to have any lovely wake up calls are we?" However, her web of lines continued. She stopped in the front of the barn, pulling out the pocketknife and like it was nothing, put the blade into the rusty lock of the barn. Twisting it until it clicked, popping open the lock, she removed it from the door and allowed it to open with a creek. Looking up at the other two siblings, she put on a little smile when looking to them and answered pretty vaguely “I hope not.” Lying was tasking and she couldn’t remember a day when she didn’t have to. And them asking made it even more difficult even though they had a right to. She didn’t even understand why she was dishonest to them; they were hunters, they could probably handle breaking and entering. “But uh, I still want to leave here in five hours. That’s enough sleep for me and I think its safest if we left early morning, before anybody could see.” Rocky had explained before entering the dark barn after them.

Stopping outside the barn, Riley stared up at it. She knew Jared would be right at home but she'd rather sleep inside. Where it would be harder for people or creatures mostly, to sneak in. Rocky had stepped off to the side so that the other two could enter first. Slipping past her, Riley paused to listen to her.
"But uh, I still want to leave here in five hours. That's enough sleep for me and I think its safest if we left early morning, before anybody could see." Riley was really starting to get the feeling now, that Rocky did want this person to know they were here. Waking up early was no problem for her. She was use to sneaking out and being gone before your company or even your host was awake. Jared though, on the other hand, was not an early riser. Continuing on into the barn, her brother followed right behind her.
"So who's sleeping in the loft?" She asked, glancing up at the loft where she could see some hay hanging over. The barn was dark, but her eyes were starting to adjust to the dim light. As she walked around, she actually started to feel more relaxed. Being out in the cooler air helped. Rocky was really helping them out. Even though Riley suspected that she was hiding something, she was still willing to trust her. Glancing at Jared, he looked a little less on edge as well. Pushing her hair behind her ears, she turned when she heard Jared speaking.
"Where do you want me to dump this?" He asked, holding up the duffle then slinging it back over his shoulder. Riley wasn't sure how much yuck was on the ground and was leary to have her brother plop it down somewhere.
"You put that in animal shit and I'll kill you. Slowly." She threatned before he got his answer from Rocky. Adusting the small strap to her messenger bag, she crossed her arms over her chest. Thankfully no one back at the manor were missing the two of them. Least not yet. Riley was blesssed to not have any messages from Jareth yet. They always gave her headaches that took way to long to get rid of. And it really annoyed her that he didn't trust her enough by now. Just because she doesn't show up, doesn't mean she's taken her brother and is trying to run away.

The large barn appealed to Jared. Maybe it was the werewolf in him, but he enjoyed being outside. Eating, sleeping, lounging, he wanted to do all of it outdoors. He had two rooms at the manor. One inside, close to Riley's by request and another out in the barn like structure. Around the manor they called it 'The Kennel' because that was basically what it was. The werewolves all had open rooms there. Jared, Rowan and Dominic were the only inhabitants but a few weeks ago, there was talk that Jareth might be bringing in a new wolf. Somewhat good news for Jared, because that would mean he was no longer at the bottom of the food chain. Though since he had a lack of intrest for killing humans for fun, he was always gonna be lower to Dom and Rowan. When Rocky brought up the waking up early, he groaned.
"But uh, I still want to leave here in five hours. That's enough sleep for me and I think its safest if we left early morning, before anybody could see." He wasn't a morning person. Never was and never will be in this life time. Glancing at Rocky, he showed how displeased he was with this idea. Riley then questioned the loft and his eyes shot up there. If that was an option, he was definatly taking i.
"So who sleeping in the loft?" Jared didn't comment, but he did want that space. Not that he would mind sharing, especially if Rocky needed a cuddle, but just being up off the ground made him feel safer. Also he could sit up and watch over the girls, if they planned on sleeping floor level. Tired of playing pack mule, even the bag weighed absolutly nothing to him, he glanced at Rocky.
"Where do you want me to dump this?" But as soon as he asked that, Riley gave him a look. Sure the bag had been through mud, dirt, water, but Riley really didn't enjoy cleaning it and its contents over and over.
"You put that in animal shit and I'll kill you. Slowly." Was her threat and Jared knew she'd stay true to it. Maybe not kill him but she'd hurt him. Oh yeah, she wouldn't hold back. Wandering further into the barn, he started having a look around. Rocky might not them wandering off, but if this was indeed the property of another hunter, Jared wouldn't feel comfortable til it was checked out. Besides, if Jareth tried locating him he wanted to be out of sight for if the powerful vampire dropped him to his knees. Jared still couldn't fight him and definatly couldn't block him. So when Jareth was mad and either scrying or communicating with Jared, he often brought pain on him, causing his knees to buckler or completely drop him on his ass.

Rocky entered the barn before taking the small black flashlight she tucked away again and flicked it on. It was dim already, but extra light wouldn’t hurt. She shone the ray around as she stepped in and knew there were no horses in this barn. It wasn’t exactly a stable, but rather a weapon house for Jacen. The guy was insane when it came to his job; he always had to be the sheriff. Every paycheck he got, he’d put a part of it to new supplies. The ray had set on to a row of lanterns. Pretty old fashion for Jacen’s taste, she thought, but he probably got them with the hay or as a gift or something. She didn’t think much of it. Walking over to one, she put the flashlight down, face up in the barn so it would still illuminate the room, while digging through her duffle bag. Reaching into one of her smaller pockets, she pulled out the pack of matches and lit one before igniting the cloth in the lantern, resulting in more light. Dropping her bag, she took both the lantern and flashlight from the barrel she set them on, and brought them to the siblings. Handing the flashlight to them, she looked up to the loft again, when Riley addressed it. "So who's sleeping in the loft?" Rocky has been in that loft before; squatting in this barn wasn’t uncommon but she did know Jacen. And Jacen did like to show her some sites as well. “Oh yeah. It's great up there. Nice view too.” She said and looked over at them with a grin, showing off her little dimples and swollen cheeks. “It doesn’t matter to me. Make yourselves at home. I’ll just light some more lanterns.” She stated before walking back towards the row. "Where do you want me to dump this?" Jared asked, holding up the bag and Rocky glanced over her shoulder at him. But before she could answer… "You put that in animal shit and I'll kill you. Slowly." Riley had answered, tossing him a little glare. Rocky’s back was to the two siblings, but hearing them caused her to giggle a bit. Looking down, she lit another lantern and when bringing another over to a different corner to light that side of the room, she looked to Jared with a friendly smile, answering. “Where ever she’ll be sleeping.” She stated. “Animals usually don’t reside here.” She explained before putting down the lamp on another barrel and started back to the row of unlit lights again. “But I feel compelled to warn you. All these scattered barrels around,” She said, showing them off, “They’re not filled with just anything. I know this hunter, and I knows that he likes to hide guns and ammunition in these things.” She said and figured that they wouldn’t have any trouble with it. She was just going to find a nice hay pile in a corner or something. Smiling a bit, Rocky had looked at the two and just hated to lie to them both about this place. It was just that they were desperate and Jacen wasn’t the kindest of people to let them just crash there. So squatting in this barn was their next option. Retracting her hand from showing one of the barrels, her forearm hit against an unlit lantern. Granted, she was grateful for that, the noise just made her edgy now. Looking down at it, she cursed to herself, “Shit.” Before looking back up at the other two. “I’ll clean it.” She said and put a hand up like she was halting them before bending down and gathering up the pieces of glass.

“Where ever she’ll be sleeping.” Jared nodded and looked around for where they might all be. Riley had headed up into the loft and maybe that would be a good place to stay the night. Walking over to the bottom of the stairs, he set the bag down, then stretched his arms up high. It wasn’t that he was really that tired, but they’d be turning in for the night and he’d be able to relax. “Animals usually don’t reside here.” Jared smirked at that, with his back turned to Rocky. Not til now. He thought, looking around the large barn. Pushing the sleeves up on the grey, long sleeve shirt he wore, his eyes wandered back over to Rocky. Watching her walk away, it took him a few moments before he realized he had been staring. Just, watching the way she moved, when she turned and her hair fell into her face. Shaking his head, he quickly looked around to clear his thoughts. Ok, noooo… Bad Jared.“But I feel compelled to warn you. All these scattered barrels around, They’re not filled with just anything. I know this hunter, and I know that he likes to hide guns and ammunition in these things.” That just ruined all the pleasant thoughts he had going through his mind. Like he really needed another reminder of how uncomfortable he was going to be here. Following her, just to try and see if he could find out more from her, he kept his distance. Then the lap fell before any questions came from him and he instantly wanted to help. ”Here.” He said, coming up beside her and starting to bend down. But she was a lot like his sister and defiantly wasn’t the type to need any kind of help, or rescuing. Well, she might need it from time to time, but she obviously wouldn’t want it often. ”I’ll clean it.” Standing up, Jared just watched her. ”Well alright.” Tucking his hands in his pockets, he was just waiting for her to cut herself, almost betting that she would. “You know, if you cut yourself…well I’m not a doctor but I’ll take a look anyways. And not just a cut on the finger. You feel pain anywhere…I’m here at your service. I’m told I have a great bedside manner.” That little grin came over his face and he even winked at her when he looked over. Not trying to be cocky but he felt like she was someone he could joke with.

Riley was glad to see there wasn’t a lot of animals in here. If Jareth found them and though he’d be cute, he could always force Jared to change and then there’d be a werewolf loose in a barn of animals. And that usually never ended well. It was actually really nice in here. Walking over to the stairs that led to the loft, Riley started up them. They twisted around, stopping at a few leveled sections. She didn’t why, but this place was really appealing to her.
“But I feel compelled to warn you. All these scattered barrels around, They’re not filled with just anything. I know this hunter, and I know that he likes to hide guns and ammunition in these things.” Riley looked over the railing and down at Rocky. So there were all sorts of weapons and gadgets around here. Turning back around, she looked at the final flight of three stairs. Holding onto the railing, she climbed up more cautiously now. Once she stood in the loft, she just stopped and just looked around. It wasn’t much different from the lower level of the barn but for some reason, she just liked it. Taking light steps, she went over to large, cut out window. There was probably some shutter doors to close it but right now it was open. Leaning on the sill, she looked out into the night sky. It was gorgeous just standing up there and seeing at a different level.
Stepping back, she continued to walk around on this upper level. There were more barrels, even a few guns and…some weapons she couldn’t even name laying out. Blankets piled in one corner and she saw another lamp. Standing by a table up there, she picked up a few ‘toys’ and looked them over. She was just in a little zone. Exploring and satisfying her curiosity. Her hands traveled over everything up there and she blocked out all the noise downstairs.

“That’s not my askin’ price and if you want my services, its gonna have to be done at my askin’ price.” Jacen Brice had the flipped open cell phone to his ear, other hand occupied with holding a Macintosh apple. He bit into it, crunching it as he chewed the juicy fruit. Pacing about the kitchen, dark brown boots went to stop in front of the sink. Eyes rolled when listening to one of his bigger clients, Barry Trassard, rave about a journalist and his slander spreading. However, the amount of money wanted was more costly, due to the popularity of this journalist and how much “boat rocking” Jacen would be doing after an assassination like that. “Now, I don’t care where you get the money from, and that’s not really my problem, is it?” Jacen asked rhetorically then swallowed the piece in his mouth before continuing. “And until that money is in my hand, Drew Tanner gets to live another day.” Jacen spoke bluntly before taking the phone and flipping it closed, then tossing it on the wooden table again. Hand leaned down on the back of the chair, and he bit into the apple again as he stared down the phone. He did need that money. Not desperately, but bills don’t pay themselves. Though, even if he were desperate, he’d never let the client know that. Even if he wasn’t in control, he had to pretend that he was. Sighing, Jacen pushed his hand off and tossed the half eaten apple in the sink, not caring about cleanliness right now. He pushed his fingers through his longer hair, contemplating over how he was going to get that money; if Barry Trassard would call back or not. Part of him was saying swallow his pride, take the easy job and leave it alone. The rest of him, which was usually that voice he normally listened to, kept telling him to make Trassard work for his services. Looking over to the cell phone, he had given a sigh before his hand reached over to pluck it off of the table again. The sound of crashing glass and metal caused his hand to jerk back and his eyes flashed to the kitchen doors that lead outside. Jacen’s house wasn’t built like a fort, but like every hunter or man who had a sibling who was in the army, weapons were scattered along the inhabitance. A nine- millimeter hiding under the table, a knife under the pillow and the usual rifle next to the kitchen door. Jacen’s hand had gripped the double barrel shot gun, hand on the pump before quickly rushing out of the kitchen. At a jog, he traveled towards the barn but stayed quiet. Stopping by the door, he slowly opened it to see a girl picking up glass from the floor. He knew this girl; Raquel Lillianna Knight. He made it his job to find out everything about her a while back. Some people say that the way you know you love a person is if you can tell it was them from behind, taking in every detail. Was he in love? Probably not. But he knew her. Glancing over, he had seen another unknown male. A well-built guy, he’d give him that. They seemed to think nothing of the racket and distracted with their own issues, so Jacen took this opportunity to creep in. Seeing the male turn away, he moved quietly before reaching Rocky, and she had started to stand slowly, probably reaching for her gun. But he gripped the back of her shirt with his free hand pulling her backwards so her rear and back hit the floor and stared up at him. However, before the man could hear and come to her rescue, he had pulled up the gun to aim it. “Easy there, Cachi.” He scowling, looking at him before looking down at Rocky. “Well, if it aint my partner in crime.” He said and then looked back up at the other male hunter again. “Looks like you’ve got a new partner now.”

Rocky’s back tingled when she felt Jared’s eyes on her. Her fingers continued to work around the glass and pieces of metal, bringing them into a pile before glancing up to Jared again. He wasn’t the worst of being but no, getting close to people, especially hunters, was bad new. Which is why she would have to keep her distance from Jared. Just, keep fighting him. You didn’t seem like his favorite person when you tried to kill him. She tried to convince him. But then, he spoke down to her. “You know, if you cut yourself…well I’m not a doctor but I’ll take a look anyways. And not just a cut on the finger. You feel pain anywhere…I’m here at your service. I’m told I have a great bedside manner.”Glancing up to him, Rocky had to let out a little chuckle as she looked up at him, showing off her smile that wink that conjured up, before looking back down with that grin and gathered the glass. “Oh yeah? Well I’m beginning to feel an acute pain in my ass, but I doubt you can fix that.” She teased and looked to him again to show she was joking as well but still wanted to keep up that defense, if she could, and perhaps do it with some humor. Plucking up the glass particles, she then heard that creek from the door behind her opening again. Slowly rising, perhaps to alert Jared who now had his back to her, she just prayed to God it was some stray dog or raccoon, just don’t let it be Jacen. However, as she did start to stand, she felt a grip come from behind, yanking her from the back of her shirt to fall down on her rear, on the floor of the barn. And of course, there Jacen was, towering over her with a rifle in hand. Her eyes quickly darted to Jared but it was too late. Jacen had his gun up and aimed already before his eyes moved down to Rocky again. “Well, if it aint my partner in crime.” Jacen asked with a grin before Rocky had spat back in a shocked manner “Partner?!” But then she noticed his eyes wandered back to Jared and knew he had to have sick thoughts running through his mind. “Looks like you’ve got a new partner now.” He stated. “Jacen just put the gun down. Its not like we’re here to rob you or anything.” She said as she started to get up before his boot had panted itself on her stomach, pushing her back down as he glared up to Jared again with the gun. Rocky’s eyes made a dash towards the loft. She noticed Riley went in there and probably had a gun on her. She just needed her to whip that thing out and get the drop on Jacen before anything happened.

Jared's ears caught the sound of the other hunter creeping in. But, to avoid giving away his secret, he stayed still and kept paying attention to Rocky. But then Jacen pulled down Rocky and that treatment pissed Jared off just a tad. Turning around, he had ever intention of knocking the guy off his feet, but the shotgun came up and was aimed right at him. "Easy there, Cachi." The man stated and Jared had to hold back an inhumanly growl. Clenching his fists, he glanced up at the loft then his eyes went back to Jacen. "Looks like you've got a new partner now." Jared couldn't help but smirk a little, but he still had that glare in his eyes. It would take next to nothing for him to rip that gun away and knock Jacen on his ass. But then Rocky and Jacen's minds would start working and putting together an idea that he wasn't human. Movement from the loft caused him to look away again. Riley was still up there and he didn't trust any kind of guy around his sister. Stepping foreward, even though Jacen had the shotgun on him, he acted like he wasn't afraid. "Rocky's right. We're just crashing. From what I recall," He glanced down at her. "She said it would be fine." This had been a bad idea from the start and Jared had even said that. Yet he went along with it because he trusted his sister's judgement and trusted Rocky. Now he wasn't so sure he wanted to believe anymore words that would come out of her mouth.

Riley heard the barn door open and crouched down. Crawling on her hands, she peeked over the side. A man about...Jared's size came in. She couldn't see his face but did see the shotgun he held. Licking her lip, she watched as he pulled Rocky back onto her ass. Jesus...what an ass. Keeping an eye on Jared, she was thankful he held back and acted human. But then her brother looked up and she quickly pulled back. Thinking, she looked around at all the weapons she found up here. Either she could use one of them or use the gun she still had tucked in her jeans. Glancing back at the railing, she pushed herself back and stood. All she had to do was pull the gun and come down the stairs. But that could prove tricky because she was sure there were a few squeaky steps. Slipping the black pistol out of her jeans, her hand fit around it perfectly. Trying to be as quiet as she could, she cocked it and took a few steps foreward. There was a shelving unit right by the stairs. Stepping over to it, she put her back to it and held up her gun. Taking a few breaths, she quieted down and waited til she could hear the man creeping up the stairs, provided that he would. And she also had to pray that Jared wouldn't do anything stupid.

Jacen’s eyes went up to Jared, keeping the gun between them and it wasn’t actually going to fire but used it more for fear. Hell, he didn’t need a gun to kill a person but there were many people who wanted Jacen dead, including a heap load of cops. But looking from the bloke down to the dame under the heel of his food, he listened to Jared. "Rocky's right. We're just crashing. From what I recall, she said it would be fine."Grinning, Jacen just found this very delectable considering that he knew Rocky and her type. And he knew that she had to keep everybody at arms length and she fibbed constantly. “Oh yeah? Well doesn’t that say a lot about her character then, huh?” He said, smugly as she looked up, leaning back on her elbows since she was still unable to get up. God, he could see the hate fuming from her eyes already. But his stare had to be cut short by a foreign noise coming from upstairs, in the loft. Blue eyes shot up to look at the staircase and then quickly moved off of Rocky, not putting more pressure on her stomach but instead, pivoted his free foot as he darted towards the stairs. His grip on the gun was loosened given that he still wasn’t planning on pulling the trigger to these people yet. Another person? Well, as much as he found Rocky bringing a strange male into his loft, he was more curious and shocked that there would be a third person. Starting for the stairs, he kept his eye up to see if there was any movement.

Rocky felt the small amount of pressure applied to her stomach to keep her on the floor. She knew Jacen wouldn’t physically hurt her without a real purpose; therefore, his boot on her abdomen wasn’t painful, yet firm. However, her glare up at him could be read differently. He attacked her; and she wasn’t speaking literally this time. He spoke to Jared as if Rocky were her best friend, and he knew her better than anybody. Granted, he was one of the few that had actually known the real her, but she would never have expected him to go that far. Her eyes quickly went to Jared. Oh God, what would he think of her now? Dishonest, fugitive, and a bad judge of character if she was socializing with the likes of Jacen Brice. How would she explain herself? Hearing something from above her, Rocky leaning back on her elbows, had glanced up to the loft before meeting eyes with Jared’s again, she just hoped to God Riley was armed. They’d have to either talk their way out of this thing, or take it by force. Jacen seemed to be distracted by Riley as well and his curiosity and instinct got the better of him. He had removed his foot from Rocky, jogging toward the staircase, Rocky quickly pushed herself up. She didn’t take time to dust herself off, and couldn’t even bring herself to spare a glance to Jared before starting after Jacen. “Listen, Jace, calm down. I didn’t know you were here and they- he, had nothing to do with it.” She said, quickly correcting herself from plural to singular. “So we’ll just leave.” Rocky stated again but it seemed like he wasn’t listening.

Jared glanced down at Rocky. He would have helped her up but she got up quickly on her own. This was a stupid idea and he had said in the beginning he didn't want to be here and now look where they were. Some guy, some hunter was running around with a shotgun and didn't looked like he was really that great of a friend to Rocky. If he wise, why did he still have the gun out? Shifting uncomfortably in his spot, Jared tried to stay calm. The last thing he needed to do was lose his temper. Cause that always led to him either changing or just really fighting with someone and not holding back. “Oh yeah? Well doesn’t that say a lot about her character then, huh?” Jared looked sideways at her. Jacen had a point, it really didn't say much. But then he was distracted when the hunter started for the stairs. Riley. She was up there, armed maybe but that didn't mean he was gonna let this macho, piece of crap meet up with her. Putting his hand on Rocky's shoulder, he started to walk past her. "Hey! Where the hell do you think you're going?" Probably wasn't the smartest thing to say to a guy with a gun, but Jared doubted he had silver bullets. Either way, he just wanted to keep him away from Riley. She may be able to handle herself but Jared was just the protective kind of brother. Glancing down at Rocky, he definatly wasn't smiling at her this time. She brought them here and now some guy was sneaking up on his sister with a rifle.

Riley heard them all arguing downstairs. She didn't catch the name of the friend, but his voice sounded familar. It nagged at her, trying to get her to remember but she couldn't. Clutching the gun tighter, she tried to slow her breathing so she could keep her hearing sharp and also not give herself away. Then the stairs started to creek and she closed her lips tightly. "Hey! Where the hell do you think you're going?" Good ole Jared, always playing the big brother role so well. Judging the amount of time and every step she heard, Riley got herself ready to take the upper hand. This guy probably wasn't expecting some chick with a gun to be hiding up here. Soon as she could tell that he was probably about a few steps away, she pushed herself way from the dresser. Turning around quickly, she brought up the gun with both hands. "Drop it, ass-" Her lips parted when she saw his face and she froze. "Jacen?" It couldn't be... The last time she saw Jacen Brice...hell it had to be at least 5 months ago, if not longer. Riley wasn't sure where he feel in her pool of acquantances. Sure, she had hooked up with him once...twice..well the amount of times didn't matter. He wasn't exactly the most romantic guy but he wasn't a completely sleeze either. She felt safe with him, when she had been with him but she just didn't want to get attached, because she had a feeling he wouldn't show her any kind of long term intrest if she started showing him some. So she left and just never contacted him again. God he looked good....
