Rocky's green orbs just followed the path of Riley's digits as she folded her clothes before the mention of Riley's brother came back in. Her attention went from getting out of this house with Jacen to Jared in the barn again. He already witnessed her strip and she did the same on one sensitive note. "So, did he try some of his charm on you?" Eyes wandered up to Riley, lips parted like she didn’t know what to answer for a moment but then finally came with something casual. "Well yeah, you could say that. I mean, he doesn’t seem like a guy who would have much trouble getting women so he knows his way when talking to one" She explained. Trying to keep numb, she didn’t want it to seem like any flirting actually meant something to her. "Oh uh, well as close as you can get us to Charleston, North Carolina. Even just five miles from here would be great. I'll have to get my car out later..." Discussion of the hunt then surfaced again and she focused back on directions, maps, states and missions. She had no problem bringing the two siblings wherever they wanted but now she found it difficult to focus on the hunt and just hoped it wouldn’t be that way when she got to Pennsylvania. The last thing she needed was to keep her mind on a guy that she would never see again before she got thrown against a wall by a poltergeist. Pausing to lick her lips in thought, she glanced around the room and started again, “I can take you all the way to Charleston,” She offered and then started to think out loud to herself, though she was aware Riley would hear. “I have to get all the way up north anyways for a hunt, so yeah, I don’t mind taking you up there.” She explained.

“I mean, you only live once, right?"Jared smiled a little, still focusing on the sausages. It didn't surprise him that Jacen related being a 'ladies man' to living a little. Shaking his head and hiding a laugh, Jared flipped the meat patties. He couldn't help but be interested in Rocky. Not that anything would come of it, but a guy was entitled to a little flirty. It was only natural. Grease popped in the pan and Jared was quiet for a moment. Then, to avoid being questioned about his thoughts, he glanced back at Jacen when he spoke again. "But if you’re so curious, why don’t you ask the ladies? I’m sure they wouldn’t mind telling you the long story.”"Guess I'll have to ask her huh? Should I take down all the other lucky ladies' numbers? You know, just to cross referance and seperate fact from fiction." Lifting up the pan, he scooped the sausages onto a plate. Bringing the plate to the table, grabbing three bagels on the way, he set it down. "You won't be offended if they give me the short version, will you?" Jared gave him a look, like he was trying to be sincere. Looking down at his meal, he continued preparing it. The sausages went on one half of the bagel. He even left the table to retrive some cheese from the fridge. “Well uh… great kisser. I heard she came down from a long line of them and instead of her parents banging out a boy like the rest of the line, she came out.”The smirk came back. She was a good kisser? That was valuable information right there. Jared placed a slice of cheese on each sandwhich, then topped it off with the other bagel halves. Picking up one, he took a bite, still watching Jacen with a smug grin. "Well I hope you've been kissing her on the mouth." Taking a few more bites, he never dropped his gaze from Jacen. So she came from a line of hunters? Well wouldn't that be a lovely couple. A pure bred hunting machine and a blood thirsty hound. Ok, so 'blood thirsty hound' was stretching it. Still he'd dated dangerous women before. But you're not gonna date her. You're just makin' small talk and pushing buttons. "Why?"Jared shrugged his shoulders. Did he tell him the truth? That he was attracted to a girl he just met and didn't have a chance with? Nah, that was too corny. How about he was letting feelings devolp for some one he would never see? Yeah, he'll just lie a little instead. "Seeing a girl strip down in front of you provokes interest. That and the fact she's a tough filly. Came after me with no hesitation." He looked down like he was embarrased. He was actually going to miss her. Though he didn't have time to mourn this loss, because he heard the girls. They were just heading down the stairs and Jared glanced to the doorway. Jacen probably hadn't heard them yet. Then again, Jared was the oversized lap dog, not Jacen.

“I can take you all the way to Charleston,”Riley fluffed the pillows a little, like she was trying to occupy herself. Playing with the corner of the pillow case, she glanced over at Rocky. She studied her carefully. Could they trust her to take them all the way home? Home... The manor was never their home. More like a constant horror, fun house. Everything about Rocky's offer seemed legit. Though the idea of sitting between Jared and Rocky was not tempting. Jared usually didn't pay much attention to women often. And judging by some of the looks on Rocky's face at the mention of his name, Riley had a feeling he'd been paying attention to her. “I have to get all the way up north anyways for a hunt, so yeah, I don’t mind taking you up there.”Riley's brows arched in interest. If she had been a dog, her ears would have perked up. A hunt? Hunts are good. If she could weasle her way into tagging along, then she wouldn't have to go back to the manor. Leaving the bedside, she walked over to her bag. Gripping the strap, she hauled it up and slung it over her shoulder. "So what are we hunting?" Ok, so it was rude to assume she was part of the hunting party already. But this was basically her way of asking. Maybe it made her look like she was forgiving Roc. Instead of keeping quiet, here she was inviting herself along. Flashing a friendly grin at Rocky, she headed for the door. "Now before you say 'no' just think about it." She slipped out into the hallway. "I mean you get two extra hunters, four extra hands and the enjoyable company of my brother. Ah hell, you can just keep him after this. Potty trained and all. But make sure you keep a stocked fridge." Heading downstairs, she hoped Jared and Jacen were bonding safely and there was no blood. She dropped her bag on the cough and headed into the kitchen. She noticed Jared glancing over and looking almost disappointed to see her. Perhaps he was hoping for Rocky? Nah, never. "Hey Precious. Sleep well?" She asked. Walking over, she reached out and turned his cap, so it was askew on his head. Jared jerked away and snapped at her. The werewolf side at its minimal but Rocky and Jacen wouldn't catch on to that quirk. Riley glared a little and pushed his face away. Reaching out, she grabbed one of his sandwhichs and stepped back to lean on the counter. She took a bite and glanced over at Rocky walking in.
