Jared had started to close his eyes again. He'd get his ass chewed up one side and down the other for not being alert. What if it was some monster or creature sneeking into the barn? Either way, when the old wood doors opened, he didn't even flinch. But then something did reach his ears. That voice. "Hello?" Eye lids flipped open and his dark obs stared up at the ceiling. What the hell was she doing back in here? Saying goodbye probably wasn't at the top of her list right now. So now, instead of sitting up and responding to her, he was curious and waited. This time he was concentrating and could hear her walking across the dirt floor. Could smell the sweet natural scent on her skin. But her reason for being in here was still oblivious to him. But then he could hear a zipper being pulled down and she was shifting through a bag. "Bag? Her bags are inside." Now he was confused and slowly rolled over onto his stomach. Creeping over to the balcony, he placed two hands on a beam and stared over. It wasn't easy for his breath to get swept away. Even in fights, he kept pretty winded. But when he saw her digits grasp the shirt and slowly peel it up, he felt like his lungs had collasped. It was like he was a child, staring at something for the first time. Though it wasn't. Dom had dragged him to numerous strip clubs and brothrels, where he usually left in a huff. He'd been raised around and by women. He knew how to treat them, respect them. And when women who didn't respect themselves, threw themselves at him, he was disgusted. But for some reason this was different. Wrong, because he was spying, but he wasn't drawn to her in just lust. Lips parted slowly and his eyes started their journey. She was fit and had the curves and muscles where they should be. Yet, she still seemed delicate til you found out she could kill you in several ways. He smirked a little a the black bra. They always said black undergarments had some sort of sexual referance. Gripping the beam tighter, he didn't even realize he himself was change. The dark eyes started to lighten into a gold color. And if one happened to glance into them, you could almost see that inner beast. When his eyes folllowed the curve of her hips and then her legs, as the shorts went down, he let out a low growl. But soon she was dressing once again and he still couldn't pull his eyes away. She was perfect, yet he had the feeling if someone ever told her, she would deny it of course. He caught the sent of her hair as she flipped it out and that's when everything went downhill. Pain sliced through his pain like a sudden migrain that was amplified 100 times. Giving out a yelp, he threw himself back, grabbing his head. Panting with closed eyes, he growled again. "Damnit Jareth." Now he really was going to be punished when he got home. Not only had he been away for the last few nights, now he was getting attached to some huntress. Course now he realized Rocky must know he was there. So he froze, staring up at the ceiling and prayed she wouldn't show up.

A slight groan had slipped from the lips of the only one in the bedroom, making the only sound in the room. He knew it was morning from the ray of sun lying across his face, causing him to get flushed before he finally slowly opened his eyes. And when he did, the memories of what happened last night had flushed back to him. He could practically feel Riley’s breath on his lips again, hearing her words sting his drums again when he realized that today; he would have to deal with the hellion again. Sitting up on the bed, he pulled back the covers from his legs and went to the jeans laying on the foot of the bed, then the plain blue t-shirt that fit his muscles well. He didn’t bother going through the details of putting on a belt or anything; not yet. Right now, he had some other work to take care of. Like redeeming himself as a friend of Riley’s instead of a man who advanced too quickly with her. Walking out of the bedroom, he ran his hand through the scruffy locks, moving it down the side of his face to go over his facial hair before going to Riley’s door that was of course, slammed shut last night. Knocking on it with two knuckles against the wood, he called through the door, “Lets go, dove, its time to wake up.” Though he heard no noise and grinned a bit, just to put on that jerky exterior again. “Aw… you can’t still be mad” He knew she was but saying something like that, the way he didn’t that you could just picture the smug smile on his face, it just showed off that normal Jacen reputation. Of course, he’d apologize when he had the chance and make peace with her but with a door between them, he couldn’t do that. Not waiting for an answer, knowing he probably wouldn’t get one, he left her door and boots started down the stairs. He was quick paced down the steps and paused as he passed by the couch Rocky was sleeping on. He let a soft smile release for a moment before starting to the kitchen again. There wasn’t much to do as he waited for the others to get up, therefore, just went into the refrigerator, taking out the orange juice cartoon as digits grabbed a glass and poured some of the orange liquid in. However he didn’t have to stay alone in the kitchen for long. Bare feet had patted against the wood floors as he looked in that direction and saw Rocky standing there, and he just couldn’t help but smile. Her pout and glare just locked on to him and he couldn’t but be cheerful. “Well, mornin’ Freckles” He greeted as she walked over towards him, taking the glass of the liquid and drank it like her own. Following her to her seat, where he picked up the juice and took a sip. “Sleep well?” He asked, looking down at her as he sat. “It was fine.” She replied simply as he watched her and then looked down at the orange stress relief ball she had plucked up. “Why do you have this?” “It’s a stress ball” He answered with a shrug then returned to look back at her, focusing when he tried to get back on track and tease his fellow hunter. “Anyways, why I ask is because I heard some activity down here," Adding a smug grin, showing off his dimples, he said “Something you want to tell me?” He knew that they’d just play a game for a while. They had known each other for a long time yet there was nothing he liked more than to embarrass her. But then, she had looked to him with an equally smug grin, countering his little comment. “That’s funny, cause I didn’t hear any ‘activity’ upstairs. Is there something you want to tell me? Riley not putting out?” Jacen let himself look away though kept smiling then stared up at her as she stood up. “Bitch.” He commented. “Ass.” She replied as she moved passed him and instinctively, his eyes wandered down to her lower back, curving. His grin widened as he got up and, like it was second nature, planted a hard slap against her cheek as she walked away. “Tease” “Duck.” Jacen paused when he heard the supposed insult and looked back over at her, confused when he tilted his head with a slight smile. “Did you just call me a duck?” He asked. “No. Duck” He heard her advice, but eyes widened at the site of the orange zooming towards him. Like any hunter, or human with reflexes for that matter, would do he naturally ducked as the Styrofoam smacked against the wood behind him. He lifted his head, when he saw her start to walk away and then looked back at the cabinet as he stood there in shock, muttering to himself, “Son of a bitch…”

When hearing the foreign noise, Rocky’s eyes had searched the barn. Though, she didn’t quite meet her target until hearing a cry out and then a thud as if someone were falling. It was a male’s voice and she instantly thought of her new male friend. “Jared?!” She called out and figured he was up in the loft since that’s where she had heard rustling before it had stopped into dead silence. Bare feet had started towards the wooden stairs before hearing the silence fall upon the rest of the barn. Touching her fingers to the railing before deciding to damn it all, and finish the flight of stairs. When reaching the top though, and catching the site of Jared on the floor, she let out softly “Oh my God…” Since she saw he had clutched the side of his head something had to have a great effect on him. What did, was hard to answer and caused her quite a bit of confusion. And also, she was changing down the stairs and she heard a thud of somebody falling. Therefore, he had to be standing when he didn’t collapse to the floor. Paying no mind to that at the moment, she walked back towards him again, kneeling down next to his head. “Jared…” She then clenched her teeth and found her eyes wander of his body. He was shirtless and those hunter eyes had taken in every detail of every muscle. More so than what was necessary of course. Lips parted and it took some time to tear her eyes away from the site of the shirtless abdomen to him again. “What happened?” She asked. Soft fingers had slowly risen up, brushing against his forehead and temple barely as she let her knuckles feel against his dark hair. Eyes had just stared down and then moved to his lips again. His breathing had been abnormal and that wasn’t helping Rocky at all. Teeth clenched down, biting her lower lip, she forced her eyes to lock back to his dark orbs. Releasing the grip her teeth had on her lower lip, she tried her hardest to just act normal but that was impossible in the state of it. Finally regaining consciousness with Jared, she needed and excuse for running her hand against the side of his head, against shorter hairs. “Um… did you hit your head?” She asked then looked away nervously. God, she was losing control of the situation and she both hated and loved herself for it. Part of her just wanted to let loose and another part screamed out how dangerous it was.

Ever since she came back into the room, still without a blanket mind you, the night had been a little rough. Jacen had confused her with his act and even hurt her. But she wasn't going to let him know that. Hell, she told him off last night. That should have been enough of a clue. Jacen was a guy though and none of them were the brightest crayons in the box when it came to feelings. So she tossed and turned all night. Emotions like anger and hurt had flared up, so she really didn't sleep that well. But now it was morning and there was no sun to wake her. Riley's plan had been for her and Jared to leave early, but if she was still asleep then that didn't work out too well. Hugging her arms around the pillow, she let out a groan and closed her eyes tight. Everything was quiet and she wondered if anyone else had woken yet. Those thoughts were interrupted when Jacen started knocking on her door. Groaning again, she pulled the pillow over her head. "Let's go, dove, its time to wake up." Dove...why did he call her that? Jacen always had his pet names but it seemed to clash with his asshole personality. Don't get her wrong, it was cute but coming from a guy who chased you out of his room? Not cute anymore. Hell she hadn't gone in there for a booty call. She just wanted a god damn blanket. "Aw... you can't still be mad." "Wanna bet your life on that?" She mumbled and knew he couldn't hear her. When she was almost sure he was gone, she rolled onto her back and stretched out like a cat. Reaching her hands towards the headboard and arching her back. Finally relaxing, she looked around the small bedroom. She didn't want to see Jacen at all today. Hear his pathetic excuses and aplogies for last night. She didn't want to face Rocky either. It was apparent she had something with Jacen either now or in the past and Riely couldn't help but be a jealous girl. Finally she sucked it up and threw the covers off, heading for the small bathroom. After a quick face wash and dragging a brush through her hair, she pulled the locks up into a scrunchie. As she did that, she studied herself in the mirror, she debated on changing or not. Jacen had thrown such a hissy fit last night and it kinda pissed her off. She could be wearing less but no, this still wasn't good enough. Riley was pretty sure he'd been around women who dressed trashier. Doing up a few buttons though, she left the bathroom and headed for her bedroom door. There were voices to be heard downstairs in the kitchen. But once Riley crossed the living room and entered, Jacen was the only one left. She kept her eyes adverted and looked around for a glass. It took her a few times digging around in cupboards, til she actually found one. The orange juice container stood on the table and she quickly picked it up, poured a glass, then went to put it in the fridge. She had nothing to say to Jacen and he probably had nothing to say to her. Unless he was going to make another remark about her attire.

"Jared?!"He could hear her making her way up the stairs. Cursing silently, he closed his eyes tight. Now that he made an ass of himself, he was going to have to deal with her seeing him. God, he'd been spying on her and now she'd know it. With his fingers still touching his temples, applying pressure he kept praying she'd just ignore him. But then he heard her mutter and knew he was going to be in for it. "Jared... What happened?" She knelt beside him and without even seeing her, he could just feel, just sense she was there. It was almost like she cared about him. The tone in her voice and that air of concern that just pulsated off of her. Before he knew it, her delicate digits were skimming his forehead. Closing his eyes tighter, he continued to ignore her. Maybe it would all go away. But the knuckles against his hair was making it harder to hide the beast that had almost gotten out just a few moments ago. Eyes blinked oven and he stared up at her. What the heck was he suppose to say. "I-I didn'tk now you were in the barn. I was just, waking up and you were uh, down there. Not that I saw anything, cause I didn't. I turned away and I...uh, feel. Here." He blurted out and hoped he didn't sound completely suspicious. Reaching up, he grasped her hand and slowly pulling it away. Not that he wanted to. Her touch made him feel, more alive than he'd ever felt as a werewolf. But it could only spell trouble. For both of them. "Um... did you hit your head?" Looking around, he wondered if he should say yes. Because his head was hurting, but that was only because of Jareth's nice little warning. Starting to sit up slowly, he just laughed a little nervously. "Uh, just a little. No big deal." Standing up, he looked downat her sitting there. Her beauty kept catching her and he would pause. It was like some trance. Reaching out for her hand, he helped her up to her feet. Since she was already dressed, he wondered if maybe she dressed in the bar cause she wanted to sneak out. "You uh, you're dressed are you leaving?" Crossing his arms, he just kinda watched her. The thought of him being a half naked distraction, never did occur to him.

Jacen’s eyes followed Riley walking down the stairs to the kitchen and he noticed her eyes never even glancing up to him. Like it was a routine for her, she just went and got herself a beverage. And she would have pulled off the act well if she didn’t promote her awkwardness around him. Sipping at the orange juice in his hand as he walked over to the table, taking a seat again, he paused when looking up at her again. “How’d you sleep?” He asked before looking down at his orange juice glass again, now empty of the liquid. He couldn’t help but feel the tension since hit came on pretty heavy. The elephant in the room could cut through the tension with a knife. But still, Jacen couldn’t bring himself to apologizing. First, it would be very un-Jacen like of him. And second, it wouldn’t help at all. He knew Riley wouldn’t accept his apology even though it was just as much her fault about last night so he should be angry as well. Of course, he wasn’t but when she snuck into his room and he just followed his instinct, he didn’t think that was a crime. However, when she kissed him back then took offense for not furthering those actions along, he didn’t think he was the bad guy in the situation. But would he put them through this when they were parting ways soon? No. So he refrained. Instead, he glanced back up at her, eyes roaming over Riley once before asking “Where are you guys headed?” (OOC: Sorry for it being so short but you didnt give me much to go on)

Rocky couldn’t push back the natural blush and embarrassment when it came up to her cheeks. God, why did he have to see her put on that display? Lips couldn’t be forced to shut and stayed parted as she took Jared’s hand in a grasp. Pulling herself up with the help of Jared’s strength, she just looked at him, trying to keep her eyes from diverting south. “Oh um, yeah. I had to find you anyways so we can leave so I’m glad you were watching me.” Head had quickly risen back to her face before closing her eyes and shaking her head with a nervous laugh. “No-Not that you were watching me and I’m glad you were but you said you weren’t. You know, I just…” She paused again, finding her eyes wander down his folded arms, across his chest and t his mid-section muscles again. But quickly looking away as she nervously pushed her hair back with slender digits, green orbs looked back to his flaming browns and finally finished her thought. “I just needed to find you.” Weight shifted from foot to food before thoughts had risen. She started to doubt herself. Why did she have to change her clothes in the barn; she knew Jared was in there so perhaps her Freudian slip wasn’t too farfetched as she had thought. Eyes started down before staring for the stairs, just hoping he wouldn’t stop her or question her about this. God, just make it down stairs.

Riley could feel his eyes on her. She had a feeling no one was going to apologize. Because she knew she wouldn't and it was doubtful that Jacen would. Still, standing there with him alone made her uneasy. Taking a sip of her juice, she set it down and continued rummaging through cupboards. Jacen didn't strike her as a chef, so he had to have some kind of instant oatmeal or cereal around. "How'd you sleep?" Great, he was trying to make small talk. Did he really feel that bad about last night? Riley was finding that hard to believe. "Fine." Came her curt reply. So far cabinet one was a strike out, so she moved on. "Do you have any cereal?" In the next cabinet she was lucky enough to find a bowl. Taking it down, she concentrated on keep her back to him. All she had to do was eat some breakfast, get dressed, make sure her furball of a brother was up and they'd be gone. Speaking up leaving, Jacen continued with the morning chit chat. "Where are you guys headed?" Riley shrugged off the question. How do you tell another hunter that you're heading back to a master vampire's digs? Not really something that qualified as small talk. Turning around, she glanced at him as she went for the fridge again. "Uh back home. We kinda have a place to stay up in South Carolina." Taking the jug out of the fridge, she paused for a moment, fidgeting with the lid. Then she went back over to where she had the bowel. Turning around, she faced him like she was impatient. "Cereal?" Maybe this whole, acting like last night was no big deal wasn't as hard as she thought it would be. He pushed her away...well fine. She didn't care. She'd spent the last few months ignoring him and never even letting the thought of him cross her mind. It wasn't like she asked to meet up with Jacen Brice again. None of this was in the plan. Hell making new hunter friends was never a good friend. Chances are she'd be punished and that punishment would be to kill some hunter. And Jareth always did love making sure she knew the hunter.

Jared couldn't help but smirk a little. She was definatly checking him out. Hell, bumped up his self-esteem, not that he really needed it. But it was nice to be looked at as a human, especially when you really weren't. Plus, she seemed just as embarrassed as he was. There was a blush creeping up into her cheeks and she stumbled over a few words. It was cute and kept him entertained. "I just needed to find you." Now that peeked his interest. Why would she even care if he was here still or gone? Jared had only one plan and that was to get him and Ry back to the manor. Rocky peaked an interest in him and he did find her attractive, but the idea of hanging around her wasn't on his mind. Staring into her green eyes, he kept still. No smile, no movement, just his eyes burning into her own. She looked uneasy and started to fidget. Then when she turned, he felt bad. Like he was chasing her off her something. "Whoa now," He grabbed her arm and turned her around. "You said you needed to find me and well, here I am." Then he let a smile flash in her direction. Confident that she'd stay, he let go of her arm and went to retrieve his shirt. It might be a disappointment to her, but he felt the need to get dressed. Pulling the white cotton tee over his head, he turned back around to look at her. "Though I will say; black does look good on you." And his grin grew as he walked back over to her. She might not know what he was commenting on but he never passed up an oppurtunity to tease. Reaching for her wrist again, he turned up. "And I see someone isn't as innocent as we thought. Got a lot of ink on you or was this just 'one of those nights'?" His eyes travelled back down to the tattoo on her wrist.

"Uh back home. We kinda have a place to stay up in South Carolina."When she confirmed it, actually said she was going to leave, Jacen acknowledged this. She really was leaving; they were going to part ways yet again and it wouldn’t be on the best terms, again. “Oh,” He answered simply though with a nod. "Cereal?"Jacen’s eyes followed Riley’s fingers working through the cabinet and honestly couldn’t help them from wandering over her arms, through to the rest of her body. She was looking for breakfast and he was looking at her. But then at her question, his mind went back to food. “Uh… cereal?” Jacen questioned like he didn’t understand at first and was going to make a joke about how he’d normally be making the woman breakfast in the morning but decided to keep quiet. Pointing to one of the various wooden cabinets that probably contained stale childish cereals. He focused back on to her leaving and it did plague his mind when he thought. Turning his chair completely to face her, just so they could at least pretend to have a real conversation, he asked, “So wait, you guys are leaving now… why are you and Rocky together?” He asked since he never did get to talk to them before. “And uh… are you hunting? Cause you know, three hunters actually is a lot for one hunt but… its not as good as four hunters…” He said then twisted the corners of his lips upward as a grin, implying her could be the fourth.

Green orbs had still focused on the floor, seeing her feet make contact with the wood as she set herself to go down the stairs before feeling somebody jerking on her wrist, turning her around. "Whoa now," Pausing, she looked up at Jared, still knowing she was going to be giving off that uneasy vibe since he caught her but couldn’t help it now. “What?” She asked quickly. "You said you needed to find me and well, here I am." Rocky saw the grin tossed her was as he went to go pick up his t-shirt, slipping it on and immediately went to defensive mode. The blush whitened on her cheeks and she crossed her arms, a little disbelieving grin growing but didn’t have time to answer. "Though I will say; black does look good on you." At first, Rocky just tilted her head, making her lips again as she thought what that had meant before it came to her. Eyes slowly traveled down, looking down at her shirt where the top buttons were open, exposing the tank top and of course from her angle, she saw the ‘black’ he was talking about. Again, in shock and embarrassment she shot up to look at him but then couldn’t help but laugh it off and give him a playful shove to his shoulder. “Oh okay thanks, mister ‘I didn’t see anything’” She teased and really, she did have something to be embarrassed about but couldn’t help herself when she laughed. Her wrist was caught again, this time turned upside down to reveal the two Asian symbols, illustrated on her wrist in black ink. "And I see someone isn't as innocent as we thought. Got a lot of ink on you or was this just 'one of those nights'?" Again, Rocky gave off a little laugh as she too examined the symbols on her before pulling her wrist back, running a digit over it when she answered, “Ah, no. After I was with a family for a while, I just… hit the road again and they were really great so I sorta got this in remembrance of all families.” She said and then showed it to him again and of course, from her little reasoning, he should have been able to decipher what the inscriptions meant. “Wanna take a wild guess?” She baited him on and then chuckled again. Retracting her hand again, she put it in her back pocket, then remembering his first initial question before getting carried away with this little displays of tattoos. “Um, by the way I was going to see if you were ready to leave but you know, if you want to show me your tattoos since you’ve already seen one of mine then, go right ahead.” Alright, the little shy girl had vanished and since she was baited on with flirtatiousness, she played his game.

"Uh... cereal?"Riley turned when Jacen answered her. He was actually, almost not himself this morning. Where were all the smartass remarks? Shouldn't he be trying to get her to make him breakfast or something degrading to women? Watching him for a moment, her eyes followed in the direction he was pointing and she went to dig through that cupboard. Grinning, she located a box of cereal. "Fruit Loops. Awesome." Pulling the cardboard box from it's place, she didn't look back at Jacen. It was like they were some married couple with a first fight. Just ignore eachother and the problem would go away. Thought Riley was already set on them heading out today, so then the problem would be permently solved. The little loops of color clanked into the bowl and were soon drowned by milk. How tragic... Riley thought as she stared at them. Everytime she tried to ignore his involvement in the kitchen, Jacen seemed to make himself know. "So wait, you guys are leaving now... Why are you and Rocky together?" He made it sound like they were two ex girlfriends teaming up against him. Rolling her eyes, she turned around to look at him. With narrowed orbs, she brought her bowl over to the table. Was he really interested in anything she had to say or was this him extending an olive branch? "God Jacen. You make it sound like we're conspiring against you." She stirred her spoon around in the milk and grain concaulction. Shrugging, she figured she should at least tell him how they ran into eachother. "She just happened to be driving by after my Jeep went into the ditch. Some people are just good Samaritans. She gave us a lift, brought us here, end of story. It's not like we're long lost friends." Taking a few bites of the cereal, she looked up at him. He wasn't staring at her in that perticular moment so she stared at him in turn. Chewing slowly, she had to admit he was distracting in that...unkept way. Maybe that's what caught her appeal. He was rugged and a little rough around the edges, yet he did have this sensitive side. It wasn't one she saw much and she was willing to bet other's hadn't seen it much either. “And uh… are you hunting? Cause you know, three hunters actually is a lot for one hunt but… its not as good as four hunters…” Her eyes met his with a 'are you serious?' look. Here he was trying to weasle his way into a hunt. Didn't he have his own jobs to deal with? Besides, if there was a hunt, her and Jared weren't in on it. They just wanted to get home and Jacen was welcome to join Rocky, if she even was even after a job. Her gaze left his and stared back at her Fruit Loops. "Nice. But I'm not hunting, not right now. Me and Jared are leaving, I already told you that." Then she looked back up at him. Green eyes burning into his. "We're going home. What don't you harrass Rocky? Course I have a feeling if you chase her out of your room, you'll get a fist to the face instead of a lot of harsh words."

Jared looked back down to study the tattoo. So she wasn't afraid of marring that skin of hers. Now this was his kind of woman. His thumb brushed over the inked skin and he was quiet for a moment as she explained the tattoo a little to him. Her hand slipped from his and his eyes came up to meet hers. "Ah, no. After I was with a family for awhile, I just... hit the road again and they were really great so I sorta got this in remembrance of all families." Crossing his arms over his chest, he listened to her. Though he had to admit, he really was focusing a lot on her lips moving and not what she said. Which really wasn't like him. Jared played the friend to women really well. But when she challenged him about her tattoo's, he snapped out of it. "Wanna take a wild guess?" He was confused for a moment, then realized she was asking if he knew what her tats meant. Grinning, he didn't even have to think long. "Family." Though she had probably mentioned that when he wasn't listening, he had an explanation. "Back where we're staying, me and Ry, there's a really big library. It has a lot of cultural books. Lots of symbols explained." He was just going to let her walk away now. She really hadn't said why she was looking for him. Perhaps she justed wanted to look at him. Wouldn't be a first. Turning around, she kept him from leaving though. "Um, by the way I was going to see you were ready to leave but you know, if you want to show me your tattoos since you've already seen one of mine then, go right ahead." So she still thought they would all be travelling together...why? But he couldn't wipe the grin off his face. Turning around, he shrugged, looking around. "Alright, but just remember that you asked." It was almost like he was threatening her. Turning around, he put his back to her. Hands reached over his should and started to pull his shirt up. Once the white fabic was lifted over his shoulder blades, his first tat showed. It was a large tribal sun, black and white, that sat between his well developed muscles of his upper back. Giving her a moment to take in the site. i93.photobucket.com/albums/l53/TheOne001/tribal-sun.jpgThen, facing her once more he wore a perticular smirk. "Like I said, you asked." Grabbing the hem up his shirt, he pulled it up a few inches. Then his other hand went down to his sweats and he pushed them down low, almost dangerously low. There was another smaller tattoo. She might not know it. In fact, she probably would have no idea it's true meaninghe. It was a vampire glyph, unique to Jareth and had been branded by him onto Jared. Like he was some kind of cattle to be owned.taking his hands away, he pulled his pants up and shirt down back into their original position. "So, who's hungry for breakfast?"

"God Jacen. You make it sound like we're conspiring against you."Shrugging, Jacen gave off a little smile, still trying to shake off her accusations. “No. Just curious. I mean, I don’t really picture you making pals with each hunter you come across.” He explained as he just sat there. Jacen’s glass had stayed in his hand and as some type of relief or distraction for him away from Riley. "She just happened to be driving by after my Jeep went into the ditch. Some people are just good Samaritans. She gave us a lift, brought us here, end of story. It's not like we're long lost friends." Riley answered him. He really did notice the entire attitude she was putting out there defensively. But again, he tried to ignore it all. ”Guess so,” He answered. Of course, he noticed the tension set between the two girls. But he couldn’t tell if it was because they were both hunters, both women or both women who slept with the same man. He was thinking it was the latter though wasn’t hoping for it. Because if that were true, then Jacen would be sucked into this as well. "Nice. But I'm not hunting, not right now. Me and Jared are leaving, I already told you that. We're going home. What don't you harrass Rocky? Course I have a feeling if you chase her out of your room, you'll get a fist to the face instead of a lot of harsh words."Jacen’s jaw tightened as she spoke, her words engraving themselves into his brain as he took them in and she spat them out ruthlessly. Shaking his head, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her when he finally stopped trying to ignore them. “Dammit, Riley. Why do you always have to be such a bitch?” He asked open-ended and knew she wouldn’t quite catch it right away. “I mean, you’re acting like its all my fault when it aint. You came into my bedroom last night looking for God knows what and I try to do the morally right thing.” He explained, his voice starting to rise and he thought he had a right to at least do that. “If you rather me throw you down on the table right now and do it all right up Tennessee style, then I’ve got no problem with that.” He said but knew she would brazenly decline, though really wasn’t serious. Pushing up from the table, still a bit fumed from their ‘adult discussion’, he pushed the chair back into place when he leaned in toward Riley a bit, adding, “And just for the record, sweetcheeks, not every girl would have been chased out of my room. That was just for you.” He explained. And he knew she’d probably take it again as something negative towards her when really, he didn’t want to be hated by her again. He did it so she wouldn’t feel like just a booty call. There’s more feelings between them than just lust, and it took all he had to fight back that urge he had last night. Though, she never knew that.

Rocky couldn’t help but look away, even when it was just Jared’s fingers touching her. She normally didn’t have a problem with physical contact, especially when it had to do with a man, except when she knew she wasn’t allowed to be interested in this man. Then, she would have to force herself to look away; to pull in all those feelings she wasn’t supposed to have and conceal them within her shell. But when he answered her, letting go of her wrist, her eyes met back to his. "Family. Back where we're staying, me and Ry, there's a really big library. It has a lot of cultural books. Lots of symbols explained."Rocky smirked a bit at Jared’s answer and was actually pretty impressed that he understood what it meant. And for once, she wasn’t lying about the history of the tattoo. Through her travels, if some bar-hopper were to ask her the meaning after catching a glimpse, she’d always have to lie due to her uneasiness to expose that information about herself. Though with Jared, perhaps it was because they were both hunters she thought, it was okay to tell him the origin of the ink. However, when the cloth was lifted from his back, showing off the tribal sun between the well built muscles of his shoulder blades and had to just take in every curved detail of his back. God, he didn’t even have to flex, just lift his shirt and it was a site to stare at. Though, when he released his shirt and turned around, tugging down his pants and pulling up his shirt, exposing the symbol that was tattooed so brazenly on his pelvic cavity and she just had to take in a breath and hold it. Man, did she wish she were that tattoo artist when he got that ink done. She licked her lips before catching her bottom lip between her bottom lip, she had just convinced herself that it would be rude to look away before he pulled up the cloth to cover it again. And when she did, she just felt disappointment. "So, who's hungry for breakfast?"Rocky was then brought back to reality, eyes brought up to his in a confused manner like she couldn’t understand the words and suddenly lost all vocabulary and ability to speak. “Huh?” She said then was shot out of her trans and started backing up. “Oh yeah, I’m definitely hungry.” When realization of what she had said then struck her, she quickly shook her, closing her eyes in embarrassment and gave off a laugh as she started backing up. “I mean, well… you know what I mean.” Though when backing up, eyes not looking where she was going to she bumped her back into the corner of the railing going down the stairs connecting to the railing on the loft and let out a pathetic “Ow…” Quickly, she tried to just laugh it off as she rubbed her back and stated before going down the stairs again, “Uh, ouch, I’ll see you at breakfast.”
